Investing in Enquest is for masochists. I thought we would be rising towards 35p at the beginning of the week but now we are fighting to stay above 29p Oh well next week .... Off to get a new flail and hair shirt.

The price is falling on a daily basis. I am glad I sold the majority of my holding some time ago leaving more or less a free lot to ride it out. Now I wish I had sold the lot. It looks very cheap but bargains always do until you get them home..

I really cannot be bothered these days to argue. I have stakes in Wind farms, solar panels, bus companies. this, battery storage, whisky distilleries, detergent makers, fire alarms and technology and lots more. Rather than worry about them I have decided to go on a road trip to the land of the Summer wine. I had a good August and having turn some ino readies I am off to help keep the economy booming. I give Truss three months and if she gets it wrong she is history. Most find it hard to believe WW3 has already started...

What I am struggling with is that everywhere you look it is no longer working. Where I live what is booming is logistics.Little mopeds and bikes roaring about with packets arriving by train ... Sadly funds are short to increase the old bill.... Lots of untaxed cars too...Train drivers, Posties, Dockers, Binmen all striking. Care homes saying they will have to close because they cannot afford to heat them. 31 hospitals falling down around their ears. Skoolmasters saying they may have to introduce a three day week. Not a problem because no skool buses soon either...No good having a purge either on anti social behaviour or crime because the Barristers have walked out.

I think a lot of people will be thinking at the moment. I currently pay 80.00 a month for dual fuel. Over the Summer I have accrued 456.00 credit and have today been told I need to increase my payment to 99.00. I already live in a b rated. I can cope with this but now I see the future. To date I was a bit in the dark. My children will be in trouble though because they are all saddled with mortgages and small mouths to feed. I shall sell some of my portfolio and use the funds to reduce their debt. Almost certainly interest rates will rise and as I do all the shopping (Mme Spin hates it) I see the daily rises in staple products.
My portfolio is currently well balanced but as of next week each investment will be stressed tested. 1.5% on building society savings is no longer viale either.
It is going to be a long winter and having endured a Summer heatwave it seems many are already getting in a muddle with debt. I have not been understand this. Romaron will say oil is the answer but in truth Putrid is winning. WW3 is approaching I fear.

I remain relaxed about my investment here. I bought most of my shares in March and April of last year and have used the dividend re investmet . The coming Winter begains to look quite daunting but my property is B rated and very fuel efficient. Power cuts and gas shortages though will be difficult to deal with.An iflation rate of between 15 and 18% is a crippler but if Putin has achieved anything he has focused the world on energy reliability and the need to have viable alternatives to oil and gas..

When you are uncertain of your position and surrounded by potential hazards it is best to drop the anchor and wait for the fog to clear. The danger remains that you may get run down by somebody who does think they know where they are!

It is all a bit frustrating. The main problem is the politicians. Britain resembles the Titanic and they are struggling to magic up some extra lifeboats. As the crew run about shouting windfall tax for the North Sea Aramco clock up another record profit. The North Sea cannot produce more than 50% of the country's needs. Sadly a lot of people are going to have to change their lifestyles and lots more drown in debt. You cannot engineer this market..Putin has created a whole new world order and if you believe God has helped him by climate change!!
