Something needs to change is definately the case. Not just in North Sea Oil. The whole economy is in trouble with this rise in inflation. Inflation burns money. We have suffered a severe pandemic and a war which has up set the energy market. Houses prices have rocketed and where I am long term renters are being section 21'd. Social housing is non existent and heaven (Literally) help you if you try to get a doctors appointment. I was at a party the other night when a woman aged about 65 colapsed with a suspected heart attack. It took one and a half hours for the ambulance to arrive. The hosptal is at the most 10 minutes drive away. She was saved buy first aiders... Now it will get worse when they all walk out. Food prices are rocketing. My usual loaf of bread went up 29p in a week.
When though I do not understand what is happening I sit on my hands with regards to investing. Lizzie Truss cost me 25k
and so far I have only made about 19k back. Chasing profit is fatal. Looking at potential low hanging fruit must be resisted. As I wait for better times I amuse my self sticking pins in a little Russian doll.

I have been adding a few recently. News is encouraging and holding rns's interersting. May add again soon as think this will start to motor in the new year..

Seems the government want build 300000 new houses a year. It will require a lot of onshore wind solar and batteries to power that lot as Sizewell C will take 15 to 20 years to build....

It is sad when a company with a good product fails to excite the market. SP has fallen from over a pound to this. Once more I fear a big pharma will swallow this up for a song and spit out the small investors. Obviously I live in hope but it does not srpring eternal.

Releasing news after the market has shut I agree is a very dirty trick. On a Friday even worse because by Monday the rns's are all buried. Dumped my holding for better or worse.

In two years when you sell it will still be a trade.10% inflation is a real problem. It burns up cash . Knowing when to buy and when to sell is key to survival as a small investor. I have some which I still hold from 4 years ago. Slowly paying off the loss in dividends but requires patience

Diverification is the secret. My UKW are up 39% over 18 months. The larger the portfolio the easier it is to nibble bit off to live on. Enquest has been good for me but you have to sell on rises and buy back or you really starve to death..
