Have always thought that this company has a synergy with Shanks. They would fit well together and by a takeover it would allow us to get rid of the people who cannot even resolve a question of retention with a council. We are kept like mushrooms as to why Gaydon appears to have run on to the rocks and good news over the last 3 years has been scarce... The woman downstairs is over 70 years. She lived in Spain for many years as her hubby was in the air force and stationed there. He died and the house became too big and all her relatives were here so she put it up for sale. She sold it quite quickly 4 years ago and moved back to rented here. The problem was she could not transfer her money back to the UK. About 6 months ago the lawyer said she would have to return to Spain because she had to sign some papers on Spanish soil but by now she needs a mobility scooter!! After lots of negotiation it was agreed she could sign them at the embassy in London so the lawyer had to fly over and she was forced to take a taxi 85 miles. A few weeks ago she ago most of her money but not all. Surely money should have no problems moving within the eec. Tis a joke... Oh well the week is over in Espana and another week has drifted by...

Yep .. For me about six years. Have traded a few to get the average about right but the urge to sell now is overwhelmed by the fact that the permit must be ready in the next six months... Spain will have shut now for the day so one more step down the road...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I fear now the delay on the permit is likely to lead to a placing.It is now over two months since they said it would require a short time more. The Spanish are playing a dangerous game as investors may start walking away. I know it could be announced at any time. I certainly will never invest in anything Spanish again. I broke the rule with Wres and for once got the timing right. I sold at the top of the rise and re bought again on the fall. I just got lucky....Oh well to the bitter (Right word) end..

If their engine proves to be as good as it is believed to be then this time next year this sp will look like a bad dream...It has the potential to be the answer to a prayer for many haulage companies...The US of A to has gas coming out of its ears..We might too soon..No hot air though on here..

There is a good article on the BBC news website regarding PFI funding for recycling and waste handling. Seems money has been paid to councils who have failed to deliver and due to wishy washy terms of conditions they are STILL getting more..Could Gaydon be a example...
