Re mt dfs, i think the issue is not so much that they can’t release the dfs, more that they choose not to.

… nothing to stop them releasing current dfs version now, but stating that they will issue a revision at a later date to include nkt.

rather, i think it’s about two other related things. one is simply to discredit, i.e. to try to discourage others from reading/thinking about the contents of sceptical posts.

but secondly and probably more importantly it’s to help maintain a kind of ‘in-group’ morale and identity, where pis can get some warm fuzzies by feeling that they are part of an in-crowd, that defines itself partly by being against various actual or imaginary external enemies.
