main point is, you can trade this one profitably if you are happy just to do small amounts. but if you want to make bigger money, limited liquidity and spreads, means better to hold on at least a few weeks perspective, holding to end 2014 probably smarter b/c the pattern of the licensing rounds.

phone 'em to ask? but i imagine it's mainly 'cos there aren't many shares in issue to begin with, many already tied up with larger holders who are looking for much large returns, not 20-50%. so HL can only sell on to you the small amounts being sold out by smaller pis happier to take profit on relatively small positions, understandable but doesn't generate high liquidity. selling up larger positions here to trade is pretty risky, as unlikely to get back in size without moving the sp too much.

geo's expertise includes highly relevant skills and tech re deep water work. those would be very, very big ticket items. -- still a little uncertainty re how much of the deep water opportunities will/won't be offered out, and in what forms, during 2014, gives an extra layer of detail to watch out for re secondary legislation going through next week.

the 'face value' of a share is not (normally) the same as the value they trade at in the market.

they seem to have acquired some interesting assets and possibilities, so merits a place on my watch list for future, but it's hard to see anything they can pull off quickly as a 'quick win' ( - unless there is some opaque kyrgyz politics possible on lifting force majeure quickly? - e..g. appoint president's nephew as NED? ... i would be interested if someone can explain more what is likely to be needed to put the andash deposit back in play) --- meantime, the substantial placing, now unhappily underwater, will be a ceiling on this for quite some time to come, any attempt on 0.6 will get heavily sold into.

probably one of the reasons i don't play many oilies myself, i suspect that many of the people on aim who do make money with the oil tiddlers are folk who have some inside tracks / tips re placing activity, the when/where and costs. too much a guessing game for little bod like me.
