i am mainly cambridge based myself, so have had some fairly positive outcomes already from astra's move to my neck of the woods : ) (agree pascal oversold things while fending Pfizer.)

don't really agree, tbh. time will tell, as ever. there's been significant additional cost control since, pfizer, plus refocus of company on developing pipeline of 'smarter' (if they work, lol) new drugs in immunooncology etc., with plenty of interesting results in store for 2017. so if most/all of that pipeline fails, bad news, sure, but I'm happy to be holding some here with some prospect of divi growth as well as the existing. but pharmas in general continuing to be pretty out of favour currently. atb.

to goldman analysts for calling this price.

I wonder if some of barclays' comments re legal & g, re solvency & uk recession risk, also have some read across here.

... might be helpful to consider the $$$ valuation of the company, given the nature of its business.

I am assuming that a fair bit of it is about some folks switching money into other assets that they think are likely to do better from higher oil prices & us reflation. --- steady, plodding GSK perhaps does not seem sufficiently exciting?

So the operating loss is £260,000 of which half is due to currency movements (£130,000), leaving an operating loss of £130,000 , then we add the £150,000 back. The only unknown is how much research and development tax credits were credited which happens every year at the interim stage. However you look at it the operating loss was very significantly reduced."

you've only just returned from a ban of several days handed to you by admin for your repetitive, personally insulting and argumentative behaviour on the lse discussion boards.... but ....here you are again, straight back into that same old belligerent style. --- why not just try giving wigwammer a polite, clear answer to his question to you? ... wigwammer appears to be asking you a pretty straightforward (and on-topic) question about imtk value... .... you are clearly saying that you don't think much of this company, these days. which is fair enough ... ... but wigwammer is effectively asking you, *** what do you think is a fair and reasonable value per IMTK share ** at this point? or, putting it another way, you mention that you think the company should be sold off; what do you think should be the fair price now for someone else to pay to acquire IMTK?

note that astra have been trialling a (slightly) similar dementia drug to the one that failed recently for lilly.

i think part of the issue remains significant rotation of assets into higher risk assets that might benefit from any reflationary policies from trump -- hitting big pharma stocks recently. ? but also some complex valuation issues just now in the sector from lilly's failure re alzheimers' treatment?

GSK getting punished still as a bond sell-off continues in wake of market excitement re trump generated (possible!) reflation? ... GSK a bond proxy, to a degree.
