Read the latest RNS The Group Amounts wagered (previously defined as Turnover) for the year ended 31 May 2018 was US$ 461.2 million (2017: US$371.9 million) - a growth of over 23% on prior year. Gross Profit increased by just over 3% to US$5.5 million (2017: US$5.3 million). This, in turn, led to a small profit on the year, and another positive trend following the return to breakeven in 2017. Operating costs were US$5.4 million: up 3% on 2017 (2017: US$5.3 million). The slight increase in costs mainly reflecting the cost of licensing in the USA and other markets, a core strategy for the Group. As a result, our Profit from operations was US$103 thousand, an increase from 2017 and a more positive trend from the losses incurred in 2016 and before. Sounds great business sense and reading to me bearing in mind we haven’t even touched 90% of the US market yet!

Many states have now passed legislation however bit California were always going to be the last California's draft Sports Betting Bill specifies that only land-based racetracks and casinos will be eligible for license applications, which webis are this limiting anyone new to even apply.

Johnny you do like to de ramp. Fact is this is a key liscence, and the market has been nervous until it’s renewed. It’s also worth nothing (as someone nicely put), that a licence granted in California will mean web will be entitled to offer sports betting as soon as the state confirms the Supreme Court ruling...which they will because there is a ton of tax revenue and locals love to gamble. That will mean a tiny little company like web will have a licence that one of the big players in the U.K. DONT have ...and bet365 and others are desperate for that. Webis will be in a Position with WatchandWager to take full advantage of the anticipated regulatory change to allow sports betting in California. The fact that WatchandWager is licensed with a regulated settlements process and operates a racetrack, means that it is entirely compliant to commence sports betting as soon as state legislation allows. Billionaire owner, no dilution or raises, heavily invested himself. No brainer unless your looking to trade The liscence renewal is massive as this is the key state that we want to be in. Imo this has been walked down on the fear of it not being renewed

Imo the sp has been walked down from 8p mark on the basis of the renewal coming up which isn’t 100%, and is the most important. Once this is renewed for another two years this will re rate again imo.

Priced in? So what was priced in at 8p? With a mcap of £13mil nothing has been priced in for a long long time. Each liscence is worth £10mil each alone imo.

You wouldn’t be so stupid to say you think it’s going to be approved and put it in your final results to the market if you weren’t 99.9% sure it was being passed! Just a shame very few people read the RNS carefully until today, hence the jump now. Personally I would have liked to have seen the bod RNS the 29th separately, but hey ho. I missed all of today’s 100% but fully confident of what’s now coming even after missing today

I did sell out of my ISA a few months back at a loss, but have a lot still in my SIPP that I’ve just let run (currently £15,000 down I hasten to add!), bought back in today via the ISA, as this could multi bag imo if the liscence is approved at 5pm today (9am California time). That’s not a ramp, simple fact, we have a mcap of £13mil and will be the only company in California operating what we do, huge profits, and the company has already said should they get California they will be quickly looking at acquisitions and mergers. Painful last few months but maybe some light at the end of a very dark tunnel

Mannn. Why is that? We know everyone has been waiting for progress on California which was always going to be the golden ticket. The share price drifted as the bod were silent for the last 8 months. We now have a date of TODAY and the company put it in their final results APPROVAL expected. This is people getting back in because they know what’s coming, and what people have been waiting a long time for. Simple

And with such small free float given the top man owns a huge amount in the company. Can’t remember exact % off the top of my head but float is very small hence this will move very very quickly when California is announced. You’ll be locked out, so I will say “wouldn’t want to be out of this over night” ;-) been a long time waiting and seeing the share price crashing on nothing with many people buying in at 6-7p range so fingers crossed we get past those numbers in quick order. RNS tomorrow, low free float, double digits in a matter of minutes imo

I don’t think this would rise to this level on nothing, something good is coming imo. 20-30% up and down is webis classic but not 100%. I’m expecting an RNS tomorrow with California liscence granted, and don’t forget webis are one of the very few if only one that can offer that in California!
