Why is it plummeting ?
Because an RMS sp of approx 2.5p relies upon PzF mask sales of approx 5 million per month. Today’s RNS confirms that production won’t even hit 5 million until March at the earliest and that sales are not in place yet for those production levels anyway
Great spot Vegas !!
Massive leak :-)

Regulator UK.... thanks for your response on CE / UKCA marking.
As regards the condition you mention for the 1 million per month mask sales. I found reassurance by remembering that this was written some time ago in relation to the ‘original buyer’ . Since then we have been informed of more enquiries and the expectation that one machine won’t cope with demand. Also that manufacturing will be sub-contracted to a German company, who will also buy the P2F fabric to make their own masks AND, of course, that P2F will also be procuring more production lines.
Let’s hope we receive an RNS providing the detail around all of this very soon.
Anyone out there have any knowledge of CE marking versus UKCA marking ? I’m just wondering whether RMS doing the final acceptance tests in Spain, presumably with masks being produced in the process, would allow a CE mark to be granted so that sales could be made to both the EU & UK after 1st Jan 2021 with no Brexit complications. If so, it could be a masterstroke. If not, don’t we need a UKCA mark to sell in UK after 1st Jan ?
Thanks in advance
Orders still being taken. Option of either 1000 boxes of 10 masks or 200 boxes of 50 masks £10,000 + Vat
Delivery date now showing as January 2021.
Don’t panic... it’s happening :-)
I think we are forgetting that, until this morning, the only orders we knew about were CONDITIONAL orders... see previous RNS for confirmation of this. However, this morning’s RNS suggests that these are now CONFIRMED orders because it says that shipment WILL commence in January. C’mon guys... it’s in the RNS, this news has moved us forwards. :)
Probably because TB & PR are shiiitting bricks in case they are accused of ramping / misleading investors. Very cold, short & brief to keep their noses completely clean.
Not for specialist kit like this. The parts & labour are on hand within the Spanish factory. Any fixes can be done instantly. Commissioning tests & acceptance will still have to be done in Bio City after installation but that is more of a ‘tuning up’ exercise.
The way I read the this mornings RNS is that Gareth / RMS are simply taking sensible precautions to ensure that the production process plant is fit for purpose. The extra piece of news is that final acceptance testing is now to be carried out in Spain prior to the plant being shipped to the UK. In other words Gareth / RMS are making damned sure that the plant is working perfectly before they take delivery. Far better that any problems are fixed over there in the factory than having a breakdown after production has started in the UK. It’s just good, sensible planning and well worth a few weeks delay.
£1 when bought in bulk
Jodrell..... what ? Do you mean that you got inside the manufacturing unit and the production plant had not arrived. Who let you get n ?
Guys, when you are investing in this share, don’t forget that the sp you are following is that of RMS... it is not the P2F sp.
If P2F were a standalone company with its own sp I think we’d be sitting a bit higher than we are at the moment. However, as soon as we were thrown into the mix with the other loss-making RMS product lines, the sp has been travelling with a sack of coal on its back. PR & Braveheart have clearly been looking at the wider picture when they ran for the door as the RMS sp at that point in time was very over-priced. I’m holding, but observing great caution. Be careful to consider the FULL RMS picture, and not just the P2F picture. Good luck.
Sujood..... thanks. I expect the sp to recover quickly today on the back of this. BOTH LFTs, saliva & nasal, still moving forward / significant commercial partnerships being put in place for BAMS and ELISA. Further updates can be expected soon.
Mmmm.... at the minute, the offloading of the RMS shares seems to be b*ggering up both the RMS sp AND the BRH sp. Yes, we’ve got shed loads of money in the bank account, but there is no value to shareholders in this at the minute. Early days mind, patience needed.
Well, as a long term holder and big Avacta enthusiast, I must say that I’m feeling very negative at the minute. HOWEVER, there is a glimmer of hope..... we don’t know for sure that the original LFT has fallen over, it could really be the subject of an NDA. There is even a chance that HM Gov have been so impressed wit it that they’ve asked AS to produce a nasal version too. So the optimist in me is telling me to HOLD, just in case the original test is alive & kicking and almost coming to market. Hopefully this isn’t too dillusional !!!!!
Reading between the lines of the RNS, there seems to be a hint that the original LFT was not scalable...
“I am delighted with the excellent progress that has been made with BBI Solutions in developing a SCALABLE VERSION of a lateral flow rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test”
We have speculated about the scalability of the original LFT on this bb before. My feeling is that we may ditched the original test in favour of one which is easier to produce and has a ready supply of component part ( thanks Cytiva, you useless t**ts ).
Question?..... if this is a new test, developed by Avacta / BBI at BBIs premises, then would there still need to be tech transfer or do we skip that part of the journey ????
Phil.... not sure if I’m picking you up correctly. Are you worried that Gareth Cave may have been offloading shares over these past few days ?
Casajaluma... the trouble is that some of the posts are simply from trolls whose only objective is to get emotional reactions .... they get their kicks from it.
You’re better off just ignoring or filtering anyone who is upsetting you.
Agreed 0003apc.... and, on reflection, the P2F masks last 7 hours as opposed to the 2 hour useful
life of the current standard masks.
