Botbot if you are referring because I have mentioned in my couple posts about RI let me explain
I referred RI to reply some of the members over here stating that IAG sp will drop 100p or less .
RI might be the only possibility share prices to go that low and mentioned that not expecting any RI near future or from these SP levels
CEO’s can change as well as company strategies as you know better then me but I am always on the positive side for IAG from these SP levels
I am trying to put solid facts , related news can directly effect SP and trying to be constructive rather then throwing SP targets and say I don’t why but it will happen for sale reason

European airlines are experiencing a small number of cancellations amid record-breaking numbers of Covid-19 cases in several European nations.
A British Airways spokesperson told CNN on Monday that the airline had canceled “a number of flights due to operational constraints,” ?and are instead using larger aircrafts, where possible, to get customers to their destinations. According to tracking website FlightAware, 45 flights from British Airways were canceled on Monday.
Virgin Atlantic told CNN that flying continues “as scheduled,” noting the exception of one of its London to New York City rotations, which saw cancellations on Dec. 21. A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson told CNN, "We continue to take pre-emptive measures to uphold operational and staffing resilience, always putting the health and safety of our customers and people first."

No restrictions as expected , positive news moving forward
98,515 new cases of Covid-19 today (113,628 Covid for Xmas /103,893 cases Boxing Day)
Expecting after Jan 8th UK to pass Omicron outbreak peak and some more positive news flow around the world , GLA!
Agree with you Bigblue ,
In my view IAG fits 'Too big to fail' category . With 10s of thousand workers , Strategic partner of UK government (trade and political wise) such as RR
No creditor will try to wind up IAG and will be more then happy to revise existing credit-borrowing facilities with better more profitable ones . Since IAG does not extra long credit facility because the company is already capable of generating profit without further investment
RI shouldn't be less then 220p because there are many positive progress that can push SP easily 200+ within weeks.
Oracle these are my genuine thoughts ,target subjects that can effect IAG SP price for short term (8 weeks) .
As you have said many other thing might happen ... plane crash , another strain or virus on computing system that can paralysis all OS-Apple-Windows-Android
By the i am expecting next virus to be on computing system and will paralysis all the world (finance , telecommunication , grid lines and more ) Do you know that 1 months without electricity can wipe out 3/1 of the world population?
Also expecting Tesla to be hacked cars will drive itself and kill many people , cause accidents and SP price will drop below 50 usd . Short sellers will make 100s of billions in a day
Lets hope whatever other reason not to happen these coming months at least some small investors can make some tiny profit :) gla

IAG can do RI from 230p+ why do now ? Even if they do RI 200p+ share price wont go 100p
If you own a company would you prefer to sell shares from the bottom or top?
They can survive without generating turnover many more months , they have alternative financing options , even can postpone existing credit payments .
Air travel rebounded already and will be much more demand after Feb . Many alternative solutions have been offered such as shortened quarantine period , boosters , pill etc
Expecting no further restrictions as mentioned many times before for new year ( bet before also that there wont be any for Xmas)
- Mortality rate or hospitalisation not increasing - positive news
-Expecting after Jan 14th some of the European countries will lift lockdowns (Netherlands)
-Also expecting news UK to pass its Omicron outbreak peak within 10 days (after target booster numbers achieved by government they will start publishing this data most likely )
Then sit back and watch how IAG will rebound .. gla
Let’s see how it goes Jtan ,
Livestock that’s a positive news there is the demand ,airports, planes jam packed in US right now
Quarantine rules without any common sense causing distress every day and hour , causing big financial losses and mental challenges
Quarantine rules soon to be updated such as NYC did couple days ago which will bring us one step closer to get over with covid
The prime minister is leaning towards guidance rather than new restrictions for England
~Australia reports first Omicron death~
A Sydney man in his 80s is the first person reported to have died from the Omicron variant in Australia
We can also see that mortality rate over the world stable and no news flow to cause any distress or panic . Gla
I was just gonna write Bigblue, population density is the main reason why infection rate lower in Scotland
Also one of the reason why they have restrictions, healthcare system over there much more fragile and much less workforce
Eventually majority of the population will get flu one way or another ( omicron or whatever you name it )
I am betting there won’t be any further restriction , hopefully within couple days we will hit 160p , gla
Boris Johnson will be presented with the latest covid data as he considers whether to impose fresh restrictions in England-27 Dec
Don’t disappoint and hurt your image further with nonsense restrictions Boris….
It is quite likely that IAG can hit 200p+ if no other major strain starts... Having a gut feeling that Omicron strain threat will be over within 2 week in UK and rest of the Europe end of Jan .
News flow started from alternative treatment-prevention pills to shortened quarantine times (due to economic reasons and low fatality-hosp rate) on mainstream media outlets-headlines .
All positivity started few days ago and increasing day by day ....hoping that i am not wrong and wont be called 'ramper' over here soon :)
But i have been through the worst last year and real optimistic about coming next 8 weeks

'There's a new drug to prevent Covid-19' --- CNN - December 24, 2021
For Americans who suffer from weak immune systems, it felt like a miracle occurred on December 8. That day, the US Food and Drug Administration authorized a drug to help keep immune-compromised people from getting infected with the coronavirus.
But that joy quickly turned to despair as patients learned the government has only contracted for enough doses for less than one-tenth the number of people who are eligible for it.
"It's a shame that something that really could be a game changer for people who didn't have a good vaccine response is now going to be something that is in short supply," said Dr. Dorry Segev, a transplant surgeon at Johns Hopkins University and a leading researcher on vaccine effectiveness for people who are immune-compromised.
In a clinical trial with more than 5,000 participants, those who received Evusheld -- which is given in two shots one right after the other -- saw a 77% reduced risk of developing Covid-19 compared to those who received a placebo, according to the FDA.

Scientists are cautiously optimistic that the variant may be a sign the virus is losing its power, despite the high infection figures ."Virus will evolve itself out of the pandemic strain very soon and become milder, more transmissible to the point where you may only need to think about vaccinating the more vulnerable members of the population.”--- Sun 26 Dec 2021 07.00 GM The Guardian

“We would expect that pretty well everybody in NSW at some point will get Omicron … and if we’re all going to get Omicron, the best way to face it is when we have full vaccinations including our booster,” Brad Hazzard said.“The challenge for us in the state is to make sure that our health system can cope with that oncoming virus that is so transmissible.” ---Sun 26 Dec 2021 05.43 GMT

Prediction Omicron will soon be ‘pretty much gone’ in nation where it was discovered
After a record increase of cases engulfed this country, new data suggests the worst is over and Omicron will soon be “pretty much gone”.
Experts predict Omicron will have fizzled out in South Africa, where it was initially discovered, within weeks in a huge boost to morale for the rest of the world.
Infections have spiralled in the past week and admissions failed to reach expected levels, as hospitals “never reached capacity”
Omi-gone
South African scientists are confident the Omicron outbreak there is receding and may last a total of just a couple of months.
There was a sudden steep rise in cases from close to zero in mid-November to an average of 10,000 daily cases early in December, after the variant was first detected there.
That then fell sharply to around 5000 per day on average.
Francois Venter, a medical professor at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, predicted that at the current rate of decline, Omicron would “be pretty much gone” from all of South Africa by the end of January,

Ossign i had quite a bit of an experience + exciting ride with IAG last year when hit record low 92p . My average was 135p and at the time holding substantial amount of shares for my budget ....
Can not tell the devastating scenarios circulating around ,probably it was one of the darkest hour for the Air travel industry i believe... No one gonna fly again , planes gonna rot and loosing XXXX amount of money every hour :)
On Dec 20 after Covid vaccination news from 103p hit 150p in a day and by the end of the Feb hit 200p...
IG article about IAG published few hours ago today :
International Consolidated Airlines (LON: IAG) is the owner of British Airways and Iberia. The travel stock hit a high of 671p in January 2020, before collapsing 86% to 91p by 2 October 2020. But right now, it’s at 147p. And as transatlantic flights to the USA have reopened, this price point could represent great long-term value, especially as many of its competitors have been forced to exit the market.
It’s true that financially, IAG has seen better days. But its Q3 results show glimpses of silver linings. Passenger capacity was 43.4% of Q3 2019, with Q4 capacity planned to be at around 60% of 2019. By summer 2022, it could be flying the same number of passengers as it was pre-pandemic.
And its operating loss halved quarter-over-quarter, while operating cash flow turned positive for the first time since the pandemic began. And with liquidity at €12.1 billion, the company can continue absorbing losses in the short term.

`New York governor announces shortened quarantine period for essential workers`
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that fully vaccinated essential workers who have tested positive for Covid-19 can return to their job after a shorter quarantine time.
Fully vaccinated workers can return to work after five days if they present no symptoms and have had no fever for 72 hours, Hochul said Friday. Those workers will still be expected to wear a mask, she added.
While Hochul did not explicitly define who counts as an essential worker, she said it includes those who work in healthcare, sanitation, grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants.
“This is not Delta; this is not the first variant. This is Omicron, which thus far…has demonstrated, as we’ve watched around the globe and other places where it hit first, that it’s not as severe in its impact,” Hochul said.
