The real question I think we all want an honest answer too, is, does PM care about the likes of people on this board, or did we serve a purpose, and are now in effect redundant ?? The behavior is questionable, and certainly not in the interest of the wider stakeholder group, i.e, Us ! I think if the Matad management had been truly honest in London and presented a connected stakeholder mapping plan, giving clear indicators over the short term, including this latest rise, many on here may of asked questions, and could possibly of been better placed in understanding how their investment may of performed.
WildOne1. You do make some pretty compelling points. To remain balanced, I will state Mongolia is not the easiest place to do business and be successful. Petro Matad will be doing their best, but like most here will hit the occasional bottle neck, which they then need to manage. I am still confident they will deliver in terms of their drilling commitments. COS is another matter !! What I believe they could improve on is their short term planning and strategies which then ensures every one invested knows what the PM guys are thinking, and where they believe they wish to take the business. After all we are interconnected. It also maintains a degree of trust and confidence. Moving the goal posts at times is unfortunately necessary. However attached to that is transparency and a little bit of honesty with the people invested in the future of PMs long term success. Just a view !!!
Fundraiser222. I could not agree more with your perspective on life. I have just read two of your comments this morning, and my opinion, and this is not a reflection of all on here, you are about as spot on, as its possible to be.
Doug and I known each other from when he was originally the CEO of PM. We often attend the same events, as will most others that have been here many years. I hope that answers your question GKhan. Off to the field to graze now so please excuse me, its my weekend buddy.
Verbier Dave. Bloody good question Sir !! I am just nipping over to the Belgium now for a beer where most of the chaps will shortly convene. Send me your number and I will text you the info you require. I should know this, but with the greatest of respect I have a bit of a larger business to worry about. Please do get in touch.
2010PM If you live in Mongolia you know what the weather is likely to be. We build contingency into our execution schedules for it here. Redundant discussion really. I don't know what you think I do for a living, but question why would a foreign be in a country such as Mongolia. Its not to have a picnic and have conversation over cucumber sandwiches !! Again you have the complete wrong impression. I am not attacking PMs management, I am asking them to be held accountable, to ensure they deliver value to their long term shareholders. By the way -20deg is a normal walk in the park here come Jan !! Seen a lot worse. You may not think it but I do have your best interests at heart which are to ensure the people we trust with our investment deliver for us. As they say, when the spot light comes on, and the chips go down, we should all rightly expect the management of PM to ensure they get execution right. Off for the weekend now, enjoy yours.
2010PM I only question and become visible when I believe one needs to be. PMs behavior in diluting the opportunity just before potential spud is not in the interest of the long term people who have stuck by them for many years. If they had done it after spud you would never of heard from me. The first thing you normally post each day is the bloody weather in UB ?? What relevance has that got when I can look out of my window. I may be bringing some truth to a situation most believe they understand, and if that is upsetting I apologize. However as I have told you I work in a zone called reality.
hahaha. That's a sensible comment jndavid !! I am not saying PM is a no hoper, far from it. What I am saying there are a few on here that just don't get it.(Really don't get it !!!) There are several opportunities in Mongolia similar to PM, that even ASX listed groups want in on !! There are CBM opportunities here. My concern is with PMs ability to manage. Simple as that !! If they want to be taken seriously deliver for your long term shareholders that have stuck with you, and not the day traders that have opinions about most things, most equating to not a great deal.
Come and have a coffee if in town VerbierDave !!! Oh did I tell you my family was Mongolian too ?? I guess the smell of bulls--t as you put it must be coming from the screen of your computer as your gaze into the internet buddy !!
JH. What you elude too could not be further from the truth. Bishand has nailed it on exactly as it is. What you have been fooled by is a facade in the shape of MB and a few others. Trust me the real power and who signs the cheques has not changed at all.
Mon1 Mongolia is a difficult landscape to navigate. Doing business here is incredibably difficult. You only have to look at groups like Nobel with the wealth of people they have, and the amount of money they have lost in Mongolia over the years. I am hearing they will take $50 cents on the dollar to exit the country. My point is I am a Projects guy and I operate in a place called reality. Others that may choose to operate in the rarified atmosphere where they believe anything can happen are also entitled to their opinion. My view will however remain constant in that reality and operating in that space brings real results. I just hope Matad deliver on their promises for everyone’s sake especially us real long term investors that got on board many years ago. Cracking Queens birthday party at the Residence this evening in UB !!
