Kenco 222 - Why would you want to transfer it into a "Normal dealing account". Surely just do a bed & Isa into a stocks & shares isa.

That's a good question.
I'm fortunate to have both ISA's and a SIPP. After originally putting £95k into GGP in 2019 I'm almost at my LTA in my SIPP.
Another 2p will see me hit that target, but the risk substantially gets greater once you hit the LTA due to pension rules and the tax implications once reached.
My ISA's have performed extremely well also. I am "all in" and can only see further upside to keeping my shares in GGP as it would be to much of a risk to start chasing further rainbows at this stage.
For me, I can see me selling my shares in my SIPP within the next twelve months. But the shares in the ISA will be held for quite a bit longer as they are totally free of any taxes
This is not advice to others, it's just my strategy. It all depends on a few factors, age, how much you have in the pot already and most importantly your health. Its no good having million's if your health impedes your ability to enjoy it.

CB1984 - Your exactly right. I too have also been doing dummy buys & sells all day as I do most days. The spread was actually really tight all day. Even though the spread was showing 22.75 - 23.50 the real spread was 22.79 to sell & 22.82 to buy. Thus creating an impression of more sells than buys.
So unfortunately for all you conspiracy theorist saying more shares gathered for the GDXJ in December, your wrong.
Just another tac-tic of the MM's to confuse the average punter.
Just keep the faith and hold if you want to be rewarded well. Like many on here I could sell now and be on easy street with purchases of new house, villa in a foreign country & whatever car I want. But I still hold on in the belief that this is only just getting started.

I am with Interactive Investor (ii) and cannot fault their platform as it has never let me down. They have always informed me of any voting rights I have, on all my accounts I hold with them (ISA's & SIPP).
That cannot be said for a lot of other providers out there. I know of at least two others, Halifax & Hargreaves Lansdowne that never inform their clients as my friend holds accounts with the both of them. He didn't even know that there was 5 votes to be voted on and had to ring both providers to tell them which way to vote on his behalf, as they said they would not send him the forms.
Is this normal practice throughout the industry ?

MF11, I am not worried if it's £750,000 divided by the SP at whenever that would be. ie - todays mid price of 22.5p.
That would only be 3,333,333 shares, not a problem with that, but just trying to suss out were the figure of 750 million shares comes from.

Forgive me for being ignorant, but why would we vote to let 750 million shares enter the market. that would be a 20% dilution would it not.

Hi Z, sorry you are right. the 2020 resolution states £750,000
The 2018 resolution states £1,000,000
Sorry for the confusion, but it was not the amount I was asking about but the fact that some are saying that the BOD's could introduce another 750 million shares. I just don't know were they get that from.

I have seen various posts regarding the 5 resolutions that will be voted on at the AGM.
The Conspiracy theorist on this BB and especially on Bottle Rocket's Telegram Group, seem to think that it gives "The BOD" Carte Blanche to issue up to 75m shares whenever they want.
The 5 resolutions are the same as they were in 2018

The way I interpret the 4th & 5th resolution is that it gives the board permission to pay suppliers, such as drilling companies in shares of up to £75,000 without having to call an EGM.
Can anyone please confirm if this is right or am I interpreting it all wrong.

If the value of your pensions is close to £1,073,100, or likely to reach this by the time you retire, then you need to know about the lifetime allowance.
The lifetime allowance is set by the government and limits the total amount you can build up in pension benefits over your lifetime while still enjoying the full tax benefits. If you go over the allowance you will generally pay a tax charge on the excess when you take a lump sum or income from your pension pot, transfer overseas or reach age 75 with unused pension benefits. Any excess may be subject to tax charges of:
25% of any income
55% of any lump sum

Hi Redhamster, I believe you will only pay the 25% tax on anything over the £1,073,000 so as long as you don't go over that limit you are fine. If GGP continues its growth and your fund increases, then you will pay the tax on the difference. A bit like when you go from a 25% tax payer to a 40% tax payer. hope that helps.
