This is a very possitively worded update and Graham uses two welcome phrases, 'very pleased' and 'near term'.

I don't think that the Schlumberger approval will be a problem. They stand to benefit from the development which will only be possible with Managems help. What is the alternative for Schlumberger? Hobson's choice, I would say.

Now that the Managem deal is in place, we are just a few weeks away from final approval after all CP's are met.

That in itself will create enormous interest in Sound. It has been a long journey but we are now fast approaching a period of rapid and significant achievement, with regular news flow on the way.

Bank approval to Phase 2 finance and the Share Price should start to motor on.

My anxiety levels have been reduced considerably by recent events and achievements at Sound and I am growing in confidence that the next few months will see strong progress in the value of sound shares.

An excellent interview from Garry. 4 very good points

1 Stressed that it is a binding agreement with Managem compared to the non-binding with Calvalley.

2 $12 million paid into the business and a further $24 million in drilling and development carry, non-repayable, equity carry. This is important.

3 Very good deal for Sound shareholders which cements in place funding for phase 2.

4 Sound are carried on 2 excellent drill prospects M5 and SBK-1 which will produce considerable upside potential

Up 25%, even after the selling by the short-termers, I would say that is a positive endorsement of the good news.

It will settle down before the end of dsy and I suspect between 1.5 and 1.6p

Yes Adam2911, I have a similar expectation.

A 2p share price values Sound at £44 million, but that is far too cheap for a business that is sitting on such a huge Tendrara resource. Phase 1 is well on the way to generating sales and Phase 2 finance should now be just around the corner. I reckon £150 million would be an achievable value, equating to 6-7p maybe!!

My guess for tomorrow is that the SP will finish in the range 1.5-2p, despite the selling that some recent purchasers will be doing to take their 20% or so profits.

Thereafter, the SP will rise steadily as further good news is released regarding Phase 1 project completion, well workover completion and of course, Attijariwafa Bank finance package.

I can imagine 4p per share by end of July.

I agree Adam2911, this is indeed good, perhaps great news for shareholders.

No dilution, immediate US$12.0 contribution to back costs in the bank, and it will facilitate the completion of the Attijariwafa Bank Phase two project finance of $220m.

Sound now also have the cash to drill SBK-1 and M5.

What is not to like, as they say.

I expect the next few days to be very busy for Sound with further announcements and a positive interest in Sound shares.

This is a very good deal for shareholders.

Sale of asset just like the Calvalley proposal, requiring no dilution of existing shareholders and providing the cash to finance Phase 2 development and the drilling of M5 and SBK-1.

The proportion of the permits sold has gone up from 40% in Calvalley to 47.5%, but by my reckoning, this should value Sound shares at about 4.2p from Monday and much more if the wells come in.
