That would light a fire under Aptamers share price, espe cially if we could get some financial evaluation alongside the announcement. Cashflow is king.

I absolutely agree with that statement Sebo, AIM companies where management do not own shares are a disaster waiting to happen. How can you have confidence in a management that has no stake in ownership except for share incentives?

Give me a BOD that has 'skin in the game' and the more substantial the better. Then you can be confident that their aims and ambitions are aligned with shareholders and they are not just pocking the salary and bonuses and spinning things out for the long term.

Jeremy Asher certainly has that investment and commitment in spades. Rest assured that he will be doing everything and I mean, everything possible to get this deal approved and over the line. Jeremy gives the business his total thought and attention. He will also have thought through a plan B if things don't come out as expected.

It might well be that the Angela Rayner’s stamp duty controversy has further to run, if further revelations emerge or legal consequences follow. This issue has already eroded Labour’s ethical credibility and it could well an internal revolt. Labour is facing factional infighting, and the departure of Rayner and the rise of Corbyn loyalists pushing for a rival party could split the progressive vote, weakening Labour’s parliamentary control.

The country is on an economic cliff edge, rising inflation, and civil unrest linked to illegal migration. Labour is reportedly “tanking” in the polls, with Reform UK gaining ground. It only needs another stupidly austerity lead budget to tip the nation over the edge and hopefully trigger a vote of NO CONFIDENCE.

Such a pity that Milliband wasn't reshuffled away from Energy, another missed opportunity to do something positive for british industry and jobs.

'York-based Aptamer Group has announced progress on deals concerning the use of its Optimer® binder technology.

•Licence 1: Aptamer has received initial sales forecasts from its first partner for the first commercial enzyme inhibitor in one specific application area.

This 10-year licensing deal, which is at an advanced stage of negotiation, is forecast to cover approximately 15% of the Group’s annual overhead through passive income over the next three years.

•Licence 2: Aptamer continues to advance licensing discussions with a second partner, a growing global distributor of enzymes.

•Licence 3: Aptamer has further signed a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) with a third partner, a leading global distributor of enzymes, to allow this partner to evaluate the technology.

Aptamer has also announced a further agreement where Optimer binders are in a final development stage to create products that inhibit enzymes.

And in a second evaluation, Aptamer also reports ‘extremely positive feedback’ from a major pharmacy company also using Optimer® binders in a clinical drug development programme.

The Novartis deal must point the way ahead for Aptamer. Rather than more research projects, Aptamer needs cash upfront to remove the pressure on their cash position and provide for further hiring of research staff to speed up the delivery of the current projects.

'Novartis has returned to Argo Biopharmaceutical with $160 million in upfront cash to explore various cardiovascular meds in the Chinese biotech’s siRNA pipeline. As well as the $160 million upfront fee, Argo will also be in line for milestone and option payments that could add up to $5.2 billion, alongside tiered royalties.'

I am very optimistic about Aptamer’s pipeline, especially the recent deals involving Invizius, AstraZeneca, and Unilever. However, I cannot help myself questioning the tangible revenue impact and timing of cash flows from this latest project, in particular. The lack of financial detail in todays RNS announcement leaves room for doubt about how this collaboration will translate into sustainable income. Arrons comments today suggest that he is well aware of this concern and he, in effect, apologises for the lack of 'exact financial details to our collab RNSs'.

The share price has made great headway in the last few days and I am enormously encouraged, but I think that this issue will hold back any further advances unless the BOD can provide reassurance that the cash runway over the next few months is under control and will not hold the business back.

Yes, very good news and very positive. The Farm out has been approved by the Prime Minister and formal documentation will be forthcoming, the NJom-3 well will be drilled with its 90% chance of success, and the preparatory work is proceeding. Prime are so confident that all is in order that they are happy to finance the preparation and keep things on track.
