Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Johnnyboy999 - Mucksy had been here for years and has provided a lot of valuable research in that time.
DW. All I’m saying is the RNS is information we all wanted confirmed. Go back to previous posts.
Yes we all want to see sales coming through now but this RNS specifically isn’t for that ! You’re clouding the position. This RNS is a statement of fact of the position right now specifically with Extreme E.
Great to see the Peel forecast still buoyant. Looking forward to further updates on HFC and S going forward (separate from this RNS)
I don’t disagree Athansius and Ghostrider has said as much earlier. My points are:
1) people wanted confirmation about season 2 with Extreme E - tick
2) L series more than satisfies ExE’s needs, for now- tick
3) HFC / S series can be swapped in at any point during the season if ExE desire - tick.
I’m taking the RNS at face value- an update on the Extreme E contract, not on potential sales/leasing to unrelated customers. Thanks
Athansius - that’s just your assumption about the L going forward. AFC haven’t started the L isn’t going anywhere have they? We’re all assuming that the S is going to be the direction of travel but from today’s statement, the L series continues to work as specified and of course, if relevant to ExE, it doesn’t preclude the S series being swapped in during the race season?
DW - you were asking the other for confirmation by AFC whether Extreme E would continue. You have this today in black and white. It’s excellent news and shows ExE are more than happy with the technology and it’s ability to perform in multiple extreme locations and of course its portability.
How can this possibly be a slap in the face when it’s exactly what you were asking for?
Segedunum - relating to your 20:52 post, how could you possibly mean this? Why bother being a member of this forum unless you wish to benefit from decent information about AFC. Alt-muddle has successfully outed 2 posters who are in fact the same person. This makes a mockery of this board and the genuine investors here.
What sort of society are we now living in that individuals sink so low to benefit themselves by whatever means possible. It sickens me to the core that such people exist and others are happy to let it pass.
Shame on them, shame on you!
Bondy - it’s market driven absolutely but when groups of individuals suddenly appear adding to negative market sentiment, then of course it becomes a perfect storm and certain individuals are part of this, either for personal gain or gains by the organisations they represent.
I hope the FCA does investigate activities on boards such as this to ensure we have a non-corrupt market
Bondy - thank you, but I’ve never sought the need to smoke pot and I certainly don’t believe anyone is “out to get me “ .
“Trying to be a bit more optimistic “ after your torrent of negativity last (coinciding with a large drop in SP) is a tad rich isn’t it?
Bondy123 - last week you were attempting to berate the CEO at every opportunity. What has changed between then and now?
You’ve clearly attempted to talk the SP down and scare shareholders into either selling their investments or, attempting to scare investors off at all.
Hey presto you’re now in positive mode. It’s laughable beyond belief!
“Perhaps AFC know more than we do” … I’m chuckling here at that comment. Erm too right they know more than we do and with the likes of you and your fellow cronies on this board, I’m not surprised they’re so quiet of late. Keeps you guessing, however the genuine investors here know that AFC would not be expanding their employee base without good reason.

Nickjhe - thanks for this. Mace clearly do use diesel gensets.
1johntique - why did Mace approach AFC then and why are AFC building them a unit then ? We don’t now know of course whether this will be the original L unit or the new HFC (smaller footprint).
Why is it rubbish Tenbaggerboy?
And I believe the double posting is a glitch and not deliberate.
DW- why oh why are you still bleating on about AB ? He has a BoD to ensure costs are controlled. Why do you always taint positive news (research tree info) with negativity ? It’s so tiresome when we all know your feelings about AB.
No Bondy today? Coincidence?
are * starting
So investors such as Aviva as starting to drive the companies it is investing in to ensure momentum in sustainability within those companies, how come the H2 sector is being pushed back so much?
I think the sector is being squeezed to allow more other investors in on the act and all of a sudden we’ll see market sentiment return, as if by magic.

Thanks for posting Possetwolf. Good to see AFC participating in this unique transport method.
I’m sure there’ll be a lot of controversy with this (ie flying taxis/delivery services) going forward but it’s good that it’s being explored now.
Speedy recovery Jimmynan.
Yes Brettington - a very happy Wednesday to you also :)
Bondy123 - I walked away from this board yesterday and quite frankly couldn’t be bothered to read the chaff.
What is striking though is that you seem to have an inordinate amount of spare time to berate the CEO and even your user name which has appeared all of a sudden, appears to suggest that you are hell bent on dragging down confidence in the CEO. I hope the FCA are monitoring your activities. Yes, you have every right to voice your opinion. To take over a board however shows your intent to destabilise genuine investors. You would have had more respect if you had posted one or 2 with your viewpoint. Now you are suggesting the CEO will squander £60m and thus attempt again to turn investors. This is a totally baseless comment and, as you know the CEO is one member of a much larger BoD. You seem to have missed that Bond was on LinkedIn yesterday saying that AFC are currently recruiting marine engineers. This further validates that the company is expanding and focused on their key business areas - EV charging, Data Centres, diesel genset replacement, maritime and rail transportation, drone airports.
Whilst we would ALL like to see better comms out of AFC (namely via a better website and updated blog), there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE of funds being squandered or that the company is not heading in a positive commercial direction - otherwise our partners ABB, Extreme E, Acciona, Mace, Juelich, DeNora would have walked away months ago.
For me, this is the end of the discussion around the CEO’s position.
DW - seems you’re in cahoots with Bondy, picking up on his/her list. You’re a shallow individual and I’m convinced you’re a paid deramper disguising yourself with the occasional bit of research. It’s very suspicious the number of negative posters on here currently, and the latest is to attack the CEO.
Based on the latest report, I am prepared to wait for Q1 to understand whether we’re now going to be selling/leasing the new hybrid system. Yes I would like to understand where we are with the L system going forward but if the solid system wins hands down for all system implementations so be it. I will then need to understand sales projections going forward. This is all before questioning whether AB should go or not.
Look around you… all investments are down, even the big fund managers are seeing drops of similar scale. This has nothing to do with AFC directly.
