Thats a drop of 25 percent over one year (if you compare 2024 vs 2022 its dropped more like 35 percent)

Management here need to be ousted - they are lost at sea....

Umar left 3 months into the financial year that boohoo group made a loss of 160,000,000 - double the loss the year before....

The company was facing massive problems that ALL the directors were aware of including Umar...

Pretty little thing is propped up by the other segments of the company any - its the vanity/money making project of the family and always has been...

They built plt as a vehicle to extract more money from the company...

Here is some numbers for you...

Pretty little thing year end feb 23 - 445 staff and revenue of 634 million...

Boohoo year end feb 23 - 5156 staff and revenue of 717 million....

Surely if pretty little thing was carrying it's fair share of costs it would have similar staff numbers boohoo which has a similar revenue?

Are you seriously talking of paper losses after taking over half a billion in cash out of the business?... That's just silly.

And Umar left mid 2023 - plt was knackered long before that....

You're right Alex - it has become a circus...

A circus where the kamanis get rich on both sides... (And shareholders get poorer on boths side)

On one side they sold a chunk to the market at ipo.... They also sold a chunk when it was over valued in 2017 (i think it was 2017)

Then they used the company's money to buy the rest of plt which then flopped very quickly - notably they bought that remaining stake 18 month's earlier than contracted to.... (Using over half of the companies cash to buy the remainder of plt)

It's just one big vanity project...

I can tell you of multiple occasions that the share price has tanked in the lead up to bad news, a few of them were cases when 20 to 30 percent was wiped off in a matter of a week.....

On one occasion i called up the nomad (Nick from zeus) and told them was clearly people trading with inside knowledge - he denied it of course....

The votes will definitely be close to in and counted....

The board of boohoo probably have a good idea already as they see the votes coming in!!

Alex - last thing we heard was that institutions and funds were not wanting to buy the shares... So who knows but it certainly seems feasible...

Skipping that 10 percent rule is a very sneaky move....

Institutions and funds can set the ipo price, then watch joe public fight to get shares and drive the price right up - they will then dump all their stock into the market and short the hell out of it... Private holders then get spanked

The sp is moving on nothing....

Also the next 2 rns's we will receive will be regarding both egm outcomes... So 2 pieces of news the company is legally bound to update us on and not pff their own backs....

Mike has forced this company to release more rns's in the last 2 months than they have in the last 2 years....

They run it lile a private company - nobody would believe they have benefited to the tune of nearly half a billion pounds personally the way they treat the market.

And shareholders are in mind to vote for more of the same?! Must be nuts.

They have been waiting 2 years to implement the cunning plan to get the sp up.... ✈️

Parsnip - im just of the opinion that if trading is going really well and the credible plan" is working then surely we will get a trading update to strengthen Kamanis position in the lead up to his judgement day...

Bearing in mind we have historically had an update around that time...

My thoughts are - when will we get a trading update?

That's ultimately what will dive the sp up or down significantly

Historically the January trading update release date would be earlier than this years upcoming egm

Even if they if you think Mike Ashley would be trouble you have the option to vote for Mike lennon.

The board have literally told us the business needs restructuring (or did we tell them?) yet have done nothing about it and they are also telling you to vote against appointing a restructuring expert - not a liquidator but a restructuring expert.

They send out a few letters and make a few phone calls then think this will help them after they wipe 90 percent off the company value?

We need fresh meat on the board now before they finish off the rest of the value destruction.

The cost have gone out of control here.... Almost like there's a middle man now cut in somewhere taking a huge chunk of margin.... It all seemed to get expensive not long after buying the remainder of plt.... You can literally see it if you look through the accounts

The rns will state "position of previous notification"

This will be zero as there has not been ANY previous notifications due to no thresholds being crossed previously...

At the point he went over 3 percent the notification is required....

Its as simple as that

Yes bf it states 0 to 3 percent for a reason

The first notification for a major holder is 3 percent

The shares dished out with the purchase of plt didn't quite get to the 3 percent threshold

So when he did get to 3 percent there was no previous notification level hence zero to 3 percent...

I think you are confusing umar topping up with him buying 3 percent of the company...

He took nearly 3 percent of the company in shares when they completed the purchase of plt years ago.

He then went over the 3 percent threshold more recently.
