The quantity sold in the TR1 pretty much aligns with the number of shares Lanstead have paid for so far.

We know they pay the company the equivalent of 5.5m shares per month, so from March to June (inclusive) they have paid for 22m shares, and the TR1 notifies the selling of just under 21m.

They will have notified because this is the end point of this tranche of selling. They an now sell before they have paid for the next months quantity as the amount they pay is directly linked to the VWAP which would be a conflict of interest.

Just as a reminder, we have focussed on the recent update and work by the CRO and do somewhat forget that the company are working on an inhaled version of tranilast which is pioneering. They still have the oral delivery version if inhaled isn't getting there.
Remember NFX have patented a cocrystal of Tranilast for any use, it has been proven to work better than the Standard of Care.

Plus here is a very recent set of test results using standard Tranilast in-vivo and in-vitro which proves that it can be used to combat ARDs.

So its not as if there is no evidence that it works.

It’s a logical question, the board has little financial incentive to keep a failing product going, in fact the cost of doing so wouldn’t make sense, so why are they doing so?

Jiving, in terms of listed companies they have to follow the UK Corporate Governance Code, there are no particulars about exact board make up, but it does clarify that for smaller listed companies (below FTSE 350) only 2 independent NEDs need to be on the board.

I actually think its the best idea to keep the same CRO, after all they have knowledge from working on the previous tests. If you skipped to a new one you would effectively be starting from scratch.

Protocol failures and inconclusive results are necessarily a result of bad practice.
