I was looking at Faron, they made an announcement on 27 Feb 2025 that they had received a positive opinion from the EU ODD committee.

I'm assuming this was made at the committee meeting on Feb 18-19.

Chab. The committee sits from the 14 to 16 April, so we don’t know when they will review NFX in that timeframe.

I’ve been trying to find other companies that have announced achieving ODD and whether how soon after the meeting they announced, but it’s not easy.

The one I found rns’d ten days after committee meeting.

We now know that nxp002 is potentially effective in IPF and autoimmune ILD cases. Making it attractive to suitors who are already working in the area.

And for those asking ‘where are the partners’ this gives them the answer. NFX are actively engaging with them to work towards a deal.

I doubt the manchild will have much of an impact on the orphan designation news and response.

Theres a lot of new research out in the past year or so into Rheumatoid Arthritis Interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD) and the use of anti-fibrotics in its treatment.

An inhaled therapy would be able to target the lungs whilst other treatment targets the RA.

Its somewhere about 90% failure rate but get your gist trombone.

The big plus to NXP002 is that its inhaled, so in theory could be used to treat lung issues alongside other treatments that are targeting others.

It could actually be opening up to other indications and not just pure IPF.

The SP has spiked because FX said he's going to the AGM tomorrow.

Its been a busy week.

Nfx would want the orphan designation before any outlicensing to try and increase value.

There is no point in trying to second guess the SP, its been up to 14p and back and if you asked anyone their prediction along that timeline they would have been wrong.

I would say that the orphan designation doesn't necessarily affect the SP. Yes, its good if approved as it is another validation, but it doesn't change the current financial situation of the company which is the primary reason for the current share price level.
