Would expect it now to drift again into the 90s
down on opening then quick reversal up, aquisition in parcels and sterling weakening I would have thought
How do we think this will open tomorrow. Up down
Well I'm hoping that RMG can use it's advantage to grow and even take market share in parcels. Deutsche Post is a 50 billion euro company. RMG is 5 billion. How did that happen. I hope the Posties can contribute to the debate and help us understand whether this is going to be possible, and what is the real potential for RMG So I'm not selling, I'm still buying this company in tranches, if it bounces off 450 again then I'll buy another
mad, The good news for RMG is that right now you currently do have competitive advantage , due to your history and the network built up. And secondly you are in a growing market of logistics. That is why i invested. If correctly managed this company could do very well. However RMG is in the logistics business which is facing unprecedented change and challenges. Your company will need investment and innovation to meet the new challenges things coming Robotics, Aerial Drones, Self Driving, Big Data This is best achieved in the private sector which works best when there is competition. RMG would simply not get this investment under public ownership. Public ownership does not thrive in competition. It always needs unfair regulation to protect it, which RMG no longer enjoys. RMG would quickly lose ground to the competitors like DHL who are already way ahead in these new technologies. So ultimately Public ownership would be a disaster for your up and coming Posties.
Mad, on your statement that JC will renationalise the Royal Mail Lets discuss that seriously. And I would say that that is highly, highly unlikely. The case to renationalise is the strongest for natural monopolies, like Wate, Electricity and perhaps trains. There is definitely a case for this , even acknowledged by us capitalists. JC would go for these first if at all. However RMG is no longer the monopoly it once was. It now has some fearsome competitors like Deutche Post (check out their recent SP btw). RMG is really just a logistics company and to keep competitive RMG needs to invest and innovate. This simply would not happen under Public ownership. IMHO this would actually be the worst possible option for you and your future jobs.
450 held in the last few days after the breakout. Again about as bullish as you can get in the world of SP prediction, and so looking good going forward
Broker Rating has pushed this up again. I'm surprised. There is no doubt the company struggles to make free cash. It doesn't pay a dividend and yet it reaching new highs.
compass, if this breaks 450 you should be buying not selling
Time for the second attempt at 450 now.
crstal, imho, the uptrend and buying will continue through december. The sp tried to breakthrough 450 today for the first time. It will try again. I doubt it will get to 500 this month however. of course never say never , when i say "will continue" what i mean is that greater than 50% chance it will continue.
I think the market is finding difficutly interpreting these results. Was up on open, then it dropped considerably , all the while the spread is really wide 360 - 379 as i write
Well done getting an improved settlement posties. Shareprice going through 450, it is still being strongly bought. Everyone should be happy
is the doriemus MC really that high 5.8 million.
Primal, where do you get the figure 95K cash burn per month
Primal "From August:The Group's cash position remains strong at GBP1,923,018" I think that is actually from the interims in May , but just reported in August. How long do you think 1.9 million will last ?
kums, it's not difficult to work it out
Prima " due to not needing cash they don’t need to" What is Opti's current cash position would you say ?
isle, thanks, interesting video, he makes it quite clear that mediation has actually achieved something. And that progress really is being made.
