Modest I agree and whilst I know we’ve all been speculating about QC being top of the list of potential suitors it does feel like somethings going on 1. Reluctance to elaborate on pipeline and contact wins 2. No major follow up on QC although it’s been almost 2 years since we first signed with them 3. A huge growth in QCs pipeline virtually doubling in the space of 4 months and yet despite SEE being the only supplier of DMS within their digital ****pit no RNS from us on won business and no declared increase in our own pipeline 4. What did Tim Edwards mean by “hopefully we’ll know soon “ The company has been going for 22years, we’ve been pumping out positive news forever and more recently highlighting positive outlook. So what’s he referring to when he talks about coming to the end of Phase 1 development. What will we know soon, whether we’ve won more contacts, whether the industry will adopt our tech or whether QC is acquiring the key supplier for DMS. It does feel like PMG wants to avoid talking about them - maybe the reveal is on Oct 7th ( albeit yesterday would have been the day for me) or maybe it isn’t and we remain forever the bridesmaid and never the bride!!!
Hyms- technically that’s correct- I suppose they’re a Tier 1/2 supplying both OEMs and Tier 1s but I thought it somewhat strange that with the magnitude of their new pipeline which on paper should dwarf the current pipeline we have developed ourselves , he didn’t even mention them.
Happy 22nd birthday SEE - interestingly PMGs 3 Tier 1s didn’t include Qualcomm who I expected he’d mention first. Tim Edwards closing line “ ..hopefully we’ll know soon”. Hmmm Tim lots of things we’d love to know !!!!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeaCM4vAQA0
Well just got off the QC webcast lasting 1 hr 45mins. As always fascinating listening but as already mentioned by Terry their current pipeline at $30bn is accelerating at a pace and the most critical question for me that has to asked on October 7th is how much of that is attributable to SEE. Of course it goes without saying that the $1 billion SEE RFQ pipeline is not dollar for dollar comparable with QUALCOMMs $30billion however if QCs automotive deals have doubled, have we seen a similar increase in the $1bn - anyway which ever way you look at it it’s time for PMG to start giving us some hard facts andmagnitude of the business we’ve won so far!!
Has to be us!!
Our research shows that by simply observing where the driver is looking and how often and for how long their eyes are closed, we can tell a lot about the state of the driver,' explains Emma Tivesten, a senior technical expert from within the brand's Safety Center.
'By basing its calculations on our research findings, the sensing system allows our cars to identify whether the driver’s ability is impaired, perhaps due to drowsiness, distraction or other causes for inattention and to offer extra assistance in a way that best suits the situation.'
Thomas Broberg, who heads Volvo's Safety Centre says interior sensing is 'one of the next safety frontiers' in the automotive sector.
The auto giant says the technology will continue to improve over time as it learns how driver's behave.
Any changes to the system will be available via over-the-air software updates than can be downloaded to the vehicles belonging to existing customers.
What happens if the system detects a driver is asleep or ill?
If the cameras, sensor and capacitive steering wheel detects something is out of the ordinary, it will attempt to alert the driver with a series of warnings.
The first will be an audible beep, followed by a 'soft nudge', which will be a vibration sent through the steering wheel and seat.
However, if the motorist fails to respond to these, either because they've fallen asleep or take ill, the EX90 will be able to bring itself to a safe stop, automatically activate the hazard warning lights to alert other motorists, and then call for help.
Volvo - more in here pointing to our tech - if not us who else ?

Not sure whether anyone has seen or heard anything more than this today from Volvo indicating we are part of their solution
All very fair comments guys - the trouble is wer’e living in this echo chamber and truth is no thought is being put into
their PR and backing it up with news of solid contract wins - October 7th has to be a watershed of getting some solid confirmation on a whole host of fronts !!
Wow - more than 440k+ Passenger vehicles on the roads using SEE tech and an expectation of c100%+ growth for several years - this is based on business already won!
In addition the pipeline of new booked business growing rapidly.
Fantastic update and bodes well on all fronts !

Lewbo - concerning from the perspective that an II who had presumably been persuaded by SEEs story to invest at one point had now lost faith in any ‘imminent’ uptick in the SP because of poor PR by the company and a lack of positive news flow that had been promised. They have to deliver a set return for their investors ( and may well have done so on this 10m) but they clearly haven’t been persuaded that there’s substantially more SP upside in the next few months otherwise they would have held
On the basis that it is an II rather than one of the very large PIs dumping their shares, I’d say it’s more concerning than odd. From recollection fundraises and investments were made from as low as 3p up to 11p so someone selling at 5.5 may have turned a nice profit rather than taking a haircut. My concern is that with all the pent up news we ‘think’ is about to drop they are selling right now. Maybe it is as simple as an II churning their portfolio to put into something else but they are clearly concerned that a flood of RNSs are not about to drop anytime soon to double their profit. That’s the downside for me of SEEs p155 poor PR programme and not getting news of any description out there a la SEYE! Maybe we’ll hear something after tonight’s event or the Qualcomm one week after next but the wait is painful - let’s hope it’s rewarding
Glandore - yes just seen this.

Scant mention of the recent safety disasters or indeed how miraculously they’ve jumped to the top of the class. Personally it does give me cause for concern because I’m not sure what to believe these days. Hence my disappointment over the delay of the PI event as there are some very basic questions we all waiting for answers to.
Some really great posts on here today once again pointing to a volcano of business waiting to explode but I’m struggling to accept this continued non- disclosure principal. If QC and the likes are happy to continually announce new deals which they ARE doing regularly ( hence the growing $20bn + number) how can they legally insist on SEE staying shtumm when the numbers clearly constitute a material accretion of SEEs business - aren’t we legally obliged to notify the markets via RNS. Is there a loophole to the disclosure requirements or are we just guessing?
Great digging Terry- Takes us back then to the same key question on your list. If Mitsubishi have signed a deal with QUALCOMM to have this as a key part of their Inca Jay offering that is a firm contract which according to PMG he said would be communicated once official. It’s official so where’s our RNS - have we won it or haven’t we - what the F is all the secrecy about!!!!
