I have GGP in a non ISA Trading212 account (also in an ISA elsewhere and SIPP).
I think it's a little naive to think it everyone boycotted 212 it would stop shorting. If someone wants to do it, they will. Just like it doesn't matter how good your house security is, if someone wants to break in they will.

212 is not a bad platform imo, and it suits me for what I need it for.

Shorting is irrelevant for the true LTH anyway, actually you could argue it's beneficial as Ive 4x my position this year.

So many theory's, so difficult to know whats what. I'm going with the simplest option - GGP got MASSIVELY popular in the latter part of 2020, especially with newer, younger, inexperienced (covid) investors - way way popular. Scally drill results happened, and the momentum got drained. Hard. Add in the macro factors, and we are where we are. Still in, still very bullish, still confident we will revisit ATHs at the end of 2021.

Maybe there are shenanigans being played in the background, maybe not. Don't mind, don't care, doesn't matter.

Fully agree. I've been lurking this board for a while now and it's been a bit of a car crash here recently.
I have a moderate amount of shares (from 4p onwards) that are the central pillar of my portfolio and I couldn't be happier. Hoping for calmer waters from here - I think this board is better than that. GGP deserves better than that.

Obligatory thanks to Paddy, Bamps, Hydrogen et al who constantly deliver above and beyond, your posts are invaluable to simple folks like me.

Keen to know too. I assume buying in large quantities attracts a premium/fee, but would be interested to know the mechanics in play here.

Would also be really interested to know this Roley, why don't they buy just before market close at the 21.5p level?
