I can tell you this from personal knowledge that Liberty through All three media like to buy independently run well established businesses which they leave to self manage , ITV Would be ideal for them also they would acquire a very efficient MD to join there extremely well run production business.

Am away to New York this next week and will be in amongst some very interesting people that will be very interested in the possibility for a Liberty takeover. Will let you know how iI get on .

You can only watch so much Tele I have had Netflix for some time now but will be bailing out as I hardly ever use it ,the real losers in this game are the cinemas .When they finish where will all the material come from for all these outlets to derive there merchandise . It will be production .

There is nothing detrimental to say about ITV NOT THE WAY IT IS BEING Directed or the way it has been handled in the past . I think it is a very well run establishment which I have been happy enough to have held shares in for many years now but The whole of the financial world is having to buckle up at the moment while the powers that be in America and Asia,India etc. Sort themselves out, only then I think will we see the magical turn around that we are waiting for .

This confirms the strategy ITV have been following over the last few years , invest in production and sales . As I have stated previously there is an awfull lot of revenue to be made by supplying as well as actually broadcasting. Now is certainly not the time to be thinking of discarding shares in this company.

For some time now ITV have been investing very strongly on production to off set an expected decrease in advertising revenues . Advertising income in 2014 was approx. 1100 million pounds in 2017 13500 million pounds , during this time production revenues have been increasing constantly . I can not see this deteriating in the near or distant future Yes it does have ever strong competition but it is still the favourite advertising agent how else would it be able to charge such high remuneration for its services.

I would not be selling this share at this day in time hoping to make money on buy backs this is on the way up.

I am sure that Liberty would like to add ITV tO there portfolio. As it would be an ideal addition in as much that there filming and production arm IE all three Virgin Media would be able to combine with them as a self governing body as they are . Liberty and Discovery both prefer to let units carry on as they are with the least interference as possible . However I believe they have enough on there plates at the moment with Virgin internet getting well intrenched here in the UK . We will just have to continue to be very patient and wait for the real action to begin and hopefully we will not have to wait to long.

As far as competition is concerned , many moons ago when holidaying in Majorca , I was in conversation with a Swedish Lady whom I asked how is it all of you lovely people over there speak such great English .She replied that it was so that they were able to watch British TV . Also I hereabout so many people going off Netflix now due to having very little time to watching the programmes.

Bashtard the realy genuine investors as I do find that there time is far to valuable to be wasted on such trivial issues.
