My dissatisfaction with politicians would be 95% UK government,5% brussels.
Everyday problem we face stem from Westminster,whether it be housing,policing,zero hour,infrastructure,rail fares,Hinkley Pt,beer,fags,buses,internet speed,etc,etc.
Only grump with EU subs could be a bit cheaper.Might save a couple of billion on a £1.9Trillion GDP.

I like the EU because Trump doesn't.
Has Trump got anything right yet.

Easy way out if its all about CO2 emissions.
Make public transport more frequent/cheaper and offer bigger incentives for electric vehicles.
Its not as if France is short of electricity,with 65GW of nuclear 15GW of hydro-simple.

The EU parliament is as democratic as ours.The fact is our turnout was consistenly low.
2019 is another election year and maybe their parliament will better reflect the the views of the electorate with gradual change from within.

But think of the extra corporation tax or the £274bn of exports each year or compare it the £400bn of North sea oil revenue fritted away or even the 0.7% of GDP (£14bn) spent on foreign aid,not the immediate disaster stuff.
Would love to pay less but at the time of joining we was more flush than those lucky Irish.

What an example.We've always had a policy of expensive wine,the government will just take advantage of the price difference and pocket additional duty.

Tricky,why can't the French be more like us and just accept taxation as a means of pricing people out of buying certain products like fuel,fags and alcohol.

So the Tories reduced the funding of policing by 16.5% since 2010 and now they want the councils to increase taxation-that makes sense.
