To understand the Swiss border you have to realise Switzerland is an associate member of the Schengen agreement.

Free movement between countries of fairly equal economies is a great freedom.Over our 43yr membership of the EU we have had a net increase of 2m Europeans,1m brits heading south and 3 m Europeans heading north.Were the EU went wrong is allowing individual countries to have an open door to migration from outside and this came to a head with the influx to Germany.
The UK isn't far behind with an open door to 200,000 plus migrants each year which will only rise if brexiteers get their way.
To a lot of European countries,eastern block especially,we are the weakest link!

We have American banks reporting next week which usually has some effect on ours plus we are getting closer to UK banks reporting.
As long as they delay art 50 for good valid reasons (not kicking the can) then Lloyds this time around should be able to chart it's own destiny.
