I would NEVER mess around with gas but with a heat-pump all you have to do is drill a 65mm hole through a wall,fix some brackets,connect two pipes/purge and wire up the 1.8kw appliance to a suggested new circuit. I used a redundant o/peak circuit and connected to day unit side of consumer unit.

Boomer,you would be a mug to pay £6-8k for a heat pump, take a trip to France before we leave the EU and pick up this one of these.
I bought one 8 yrs ago and have installed it twice as the original location of the outdoor unit became a conservatory.

Respected Sir David King who advised both the Blair,Brown and Cameron governments said in an interview today on Radio 4 although the current Labour party has an ambitious target of net zero carbon by 2030 as apposed to the tory target of 2050 he would still favour Labour to deliver when it comes to the environment.
