Wids,are you expecting the pound to gain against the Euro?

Thinking on,how would Lloyd perform in a no deal WTO with higher inflation(but not raging) and low interest rates.
Thats bit like what we've had for the last 2yrs and the business has surprisingly done pretty well but not reflected in the share price.
The housing market has gone flat and surveyor's are down valueing property for more realistic lending however we still have some growth presently so impairment rates will rise but how much?
Brexit day will be overdone and not even a 25% buy back on the build up and actual day wont stop a fall but would think it's a short lived dip.
Dollar earners assuming nothing has gone wrong with the world will repeat previous occassions with slight dip and quick bounce and FTSE probably ending positive within the week although you could argue can they go any higher.

The markets are very unforgiving presently and what we should be thinking about is what effect a WTO deal would have on the pound,what sort of BoE reaction and the effects this would have on Lloyds.
Our rate stands at .75%,EU at 0% and US 1.75/2.0% and our recent rise resulted in a pound decline on perception little further rises to come.
I feel the BoE wont do anything and will let the pound drift lower.We have already fallen from 1.40 since April 2018 and like after the referendum they will come up with some excuse that the inflation is external.The economy is also in a fragile state and further rate rises would push UK into recession.
Pushing the rate lower with the pound falling i feel would look pretty desperate.So was increasing rates ammunition for the future?
Lets hope its a drift down and not a cliff edge.
Prehaps it might not happen but would be interested if anyone feels the pound would rise on a no deal WTO.

The only people i sympathise for are the Northern Ireland people the 55% majority who voted to remain.They voted with a higher margin to stay in probably because they didn't want to get messed about on a border and now find their wishes are not even aired in Westminster as the DUP is a leave party.

But James i don't want to give up on the system and join the majority party of "don't care" which had my vote for most of my life.It needs to be upgraded with better channels of communicating the "will of the people",local gov to central gov.Assuming you live to 80yrs you currently get 62yrs divided by 5yrs= 12 stabs at getting your feelings over not much really and before the leavers start up a 2nd referendum would be your chance to ram your message home with the actual deal on the table.

Instead we had a general election when JMO could have voted differently but we ended up with a minority gov in a coalition with the DUP and their friends the UDA which actually did throw grenades in on mourners at a cemetery.

The only reason i could find for not justifying 2nd referendum is the approx fixed costs of £75m or 25% of the weekly costs savings leave suggested.
