Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
soonbetime.... I know of one investor who has ALOT.... probably over 1%, been in SNG many years. They sold some on results, as they were worried about liquidity, having been unable to sell any big amounts during the 6p days. I guess when you have that many, being able to sell large amounts in case of catastrophe, has to be a consideration. But they were surprised how easy it was to sell, and have stopped now, just holding for Active 2.... they were very encouraged by Polygon's buying, and they have huge experience/background in Hedge funds and how they work. I believe the panic selling may have stopped, and I will be a buyer next week at these levels... I don't know if they will buy back, it felt rude to ask.
Ghia... absolutely. Also feeling more positive, and had a few more thoughts on Activ 2. Poly clearly didn't have any intel on Sprinter, far more likely they do through NIH, way more leaky.... and they are still accumulating. A Hedge fund wouldn't do that unless they still see this as a winner, they dump and move onto something else.
Active 2 patients won't be on steroids, it may transpire this was a bigger issue than we know yet, in Sprinter, and why it failed.... Active 2 is much bigger, so it will be easier to show statistical significance. Furthermore, it is an open trial... so if good results are shown early, it won't have to finish... that's my amateur understanding of the positives... happy to stand corrected. Would it also get funding from Barda?
What an horrific week.... be kind to yourselves everyone. This was (and still maybe) an excellent bet. The only wrong thing I did was risk too much. But as I look back through my life, it's what I do, and have succeeded almost always. So I'm not going to beat myself up about it... just learn.
Beforegolf.... thanks again for keeping us informed. Many here are very grateful to you, including me, as I have already said. Any of us who have a lot of shares in this, and LTH's who are emotionally invested find it hard to post without agenda... that's just human nature.... but I can see you are being as honest, upfront and transparent as possible. Ghia as well, you have posted in quite a level headed way, over the past 2 years I have read your posts, and learned a lot.... And lots more worthy posters, the various Doc's... and others, too many to mention. I'm sorry that Matterhorn has disappeared and Matml74... I hope they are both ok.
For Polygon to plough more money in has given us all some confidence, for sure, it's unknown if it's for themselves or someone else... either way, this seems a long way from over... and quite a journey to be had yet.
Finally.... what hasn't been mentioned, is that 37% of the SNG treatment group benefitted from not progressing to severe disease or death, and were able to go back home to their families... no matter what else, that's a good outcome in itself. SNG001 has to make it to market somehow... it just doesn't make sense that it won't.
Tommy... I agree, I won't be selling until we have some Active 2 news.
Like others, I have lost a six figure sum here.... 5 years of savings/pension and the dream of never having to worry about money again... but I'm sure I'd have found something else to worry about.... the money wouldn't, fundamentally, have made me any happier.
I also know I'd pay ten times that, in a heart beat, to give a 40% extra chance of life to a loved one, that Synairgen has shown it can do. Some cancer drugs offer less than that, they are also very expensive, and have terrible side effects.
For that reason alone, I just can't see this being over. Stockpiling is never over, governments have to prepare with an array of drugs in their toolkit for the next possible unknown pandemic.
Never underestimate the importance of staying alive.
Docdaneeka... lovely post. I've cried too.... two days barely 'off the floor'. My teenage daughter has been amazing... we have this 'thing' together where we say that life is a cake, divided into segments... one for family, friends, health, money... etc. She consoled me today to tell me that 'money' is the only one that you can't get back...... you can't bring back a lost loved one or lost health. It's the best one to lose for a while.
Like a lot on here, I got carried away and lost far too much. I didn't sell, and will wait for RM to return with some news.... we must remember that he will be 'on the floor' too. We are all hurting.
... So great to have you back. Thanks for your explanations today.. .thank you also Matml and Matterhorn... for bringing some sanity back to the board.
For any newbies tuning in... these are the people you need to listen to.
Mac4eye.... I think I'll wait to see what the RNS says first, if it is purely Phase 3 succeeds without any manufacturing update, no pre orders, no Joint Venture news...etc..... then I'll hold my shares and wait for bigger news before top slicing. But, in light of RM's past news-packed RNS's I would envisage some of the above being included.
Even if there is a nice jump, I still won't be selling more than 10% on results day, I've had these shares 2 years now, and they'll be an even easier hold once the last bit of risk has been removed.
But there are plenty of traders here who will probably sell, though I doubt most hold as many shares as LTH's. Plenty on here have in excess of 100,000 shares, and some well over that.
Skeletor.... my understanding is that SNG trials were/are targeting 'breathless' patients.
I am no scientist, but assume when someone is breathless the lungs are affected... Hence SYN00GOLD's comment at the end.
BeContrarian... I was thinking the same thing... although today was exactly like the Thursday before Manic Monday... on Friday it rose slowly from just below the placing price to just above.... but nothing remarkable.
It was a terrible week before Manic Monday... I was on the floor by the end of it.... whilst Sharesting was still jumping around being Mr Positive.... others were, well, let's just say, not so much!
Ghia... quite right... RM & SSH would brush off SP movement as just 'market jitters'. Keeping the SP within a certain range is not their job, nor would we want it to be.
What we want, what the whole world needs, is for them to concentrate on what is really important... getting this to market.
There wasn't much movement on the Friday before manic Monday, a couple of pennies, and just above placing price of 35p. Not dissimilar to the price we are today.... so next week for results still very much possible IMV... I, like most, was expecting a bit of FOMO... but I've given up predicting this share!
Opened an ISA for my one year old niece today, and bought her some SNG shares this afternoon at 188.... hopefully she'll bring us all some luck next week.
Have a great weekend everyone..... ... and a huge thanks for all those that contributed such great detective work in the last few days... you are hugely appreciated by me and everyone here I'm sure. Thank you.
Absolutely agree Matml... it's also been great, for me, having you and Matterhorn on this board, especially during the big drops over the last couple of years. As you say, the last few have been a breeze by comparison! Feeling v positive.
Good to see today's TR1... will help with the SP next week. Had a quick top up at 178... like most people here I had NT through H&L several times before a price.
I remember the relentless SP drop happening just before Phase 2 results... was a lot more nervous then as was very much in the red.
