Being involved with shipping containers, albeit only around 50 teu per annum, I just spoke with my shipping company regarding scanning costs, in the uk it is around £60 for a scan, elsewhere is average $60 so around £47, I expect the numbers to be significantly higher, also worth noting that wig gets paid on every teu that enters the port, but only a small %are pulled for scanning according to my agent, and these are done randomly by computer and also by commodity code, I recently had a scan done on a container of electric scooters and bikes, the reason it was pulled was the commodity code that was used to clear the goods was a known problem item, I.e the chargers on some cheaper chines factories were not up to standard, so mine were pulled and scanned and then physically examined, costing me over £600 for the privilege
