A little too simplistic, surely the cash they raised to shore up their balance sheet needs to be part of equation, for example if business returns to normal quicker than expected they won't need to spend much of the cash they raised and that would remain on balance sheet.

I'm looking forward to news that holiday firms seeing record summer bookings, I've just booked mine.

Tend to agree, however these things can come out of the blue, but at the moment I am firmly up to my neck in the brown stuff.

Surely this can’t all be related to the dollar, pound movement. I hate to say it but this looks like manipulation to me, the share is so low already, surely somebody will start accumulating Shire at this price, I’m astounded it’s got this low, especially seeing the Bioverativ purchase last week for its haemophilia division and at such a premium price.

What the heck is going on with this share, down 50, up 70 and now down 30. Very volatile at the moment.

Is it just me or is the London price badly lagging the ADR price?

As the saying goes, it wiped it’s face at Year 52 week low, but found plenty of support there, so let’s hope this time it won’t retrace.

They don’t need a reason, sentiment and momentum will do for the corrupt markets.

Andy - I was disappointed with the update as I was hoping for more of a positive update, possible sale or definite float of Neuroscience division, but when another 3% came off the price I reconsidered and still think it a strong buy at these levels albeit I/we may have to wait for the momentum to eventually pick up.

Had to buy back in again on valuation grounds, they just look so cheap, especially as new tax laws encourage a takeover.

Thoroughly underwhelming update, I can’t see this information being a catalyst for shares, basically a profit warning and a “we still don’t know what do do with our Neuroscience franchise” I’m OUT

Very bad PR, so ambiguous, but I’ll forgive them if they get this blinking share price up into the mid 40’s again.

So am I to assume EOY review means EOY results, I.e early February...quite poor PR!

Well Shire are leaving it late to update on strategic review of Neuroscience division. I’m hoping it’s because of something bigger to tell us, perhaps offer or merger for whole company, but maybe that’s fanciful thinking, only time will tell. Either way we shouldn’t have long to wait now. Good luck all, let’s hope news is positive.

Being touted as a potential suitor for Shire, especially with the enabler of new tax regulations encouraging Aquisitions...very exciting time. The scene is well set for holders of Shire who haven’t had a lot to cheer for sometime to look forward to a much better end of year and 2018.
