I took opportunity to add a few more, I can't see the price staying this low once the inevitable market rebound happens.

All sounds very positive and upbeat, shame markets look like opening down, will somewhat mute (or delay) likely gains.

Nobody is expecting many countries to be on the Green list but as long as Government confirm International travel can begin on 17th May and there are no major news shocks then that will be a springboard, anything else as the saying goes will be gravy.
Would also be really useful to get some clear consistent information on testing and hopefully subsidise some of the cost to customers.

Is this downturn a late reaction to the Times report on potential delay to ITP sale, all I cN think of?

Plenty of positive news stories today, IAG emissions statement and Covid vaccine passport, as well as Spain in constant discussion to welcoming the Brits back for summer season.
Feels alot better today after rough few days and weeks.

Great news on front page of tomorrow's Telegraph, "Covid passports proving vaccine status to be available for summer holidays". Allowing fully vaccinated to avoid tests or quarantine.
Should give the shares a filip.

Listening to many podcasts and scientific opinions and although there are always concerns, especially around mutations, the whole medical world is fighting a virus they already know extremely well.
The worst is over, time to keep the faith, we are very close to putting a lid on this.

Agree but it's a shame our MM's don't adopt similar approach occasionally, they seem very cautious with some of our big company valuations.
I do expect this to change slightly in our favour now Brexit uncertainty is finally removed, well that's what we keep being told.

I agree with those sentiments and also that Vaccines will win out, especially once multivalent vaccine is designed to immunize against two or more strains.
However in regards to IAG share price it is all a question of how much cash the company gets through before we get to a consistent normality. My guess is that they will open up international travel slowly and assess as that happenst, so I do think any share price damage will be limited.
I think risk v reward is pretty decent for a medium term hold, say 12 months.
Only my view.

Boris and advisors were fully aware of the potential for new varients when he announced the ending of lockdown dates, nothing has changed had it, in fact vaccine rollout had gone better than we all anticipated.
I think this is one of the many advisors who take a more cautious view, not the official stance.

I have seen the amounts engineers at BG can earn (£5000pm isn't uncommon with overtime jobs added onto base) so you'll find no sympathy dishing out the GMB shpiel here.

Centrica is an enlarged business with many different arms, and everyone plays their part, so using your rationale if services division starts losing money but other parts of business becomes more profitable should we then cut back pay only for those in loss making division? I also work at Centrics and will forfeit 6% of my current pay from April, nit happy of course but I get the bigger picture and reason for it.

Great news that there is clarity and commitment on dates, which will really help rally these now.

You've just turned what can surely only be described as positive news on the UK and global defence against the virus into something far more gloomy.
Maybe not a game changer but a big plus in the battle to get ahead of the virus and mutations.
