I don't believe it was Hype as you refer to it, it was real that big pharma wanted a slice of the pie, albeit not as big a slice as they wanted. Of course markets also move with economic conditions which have been nervous, but I believe my point is still valid and ONT looks very cheap based on current news and progress, all imo

All correct, however my point was that when the news dropped that Novo were buying a chunk of the company and very vocal about the Oxford platform ("impressive ongoing progress to advance its technology platform and gain commercial traction") the price rise to 1.45, since then it's dropped more or less to price before news came out.

I find it astounding that a huge pharma can buy 5% of the company without much mote than a ripple in the share price, to me it shows lack of understanding by investors (especially corporate) about the technology, platform and future growth potential. Although I have no doubt the penny will finally drop, as I believe the Oxford platform will prove to be the industry best.

Based on today's RNS, looks like Novo just upped their holding.

I can't stop wondering why a double trillion Apple would showcase Oxford Nanopore in the launch of their new M3 chip, other than to believe they can see their huge potential!

Yes and I'd be amazed if it stays around this price in the meantime.... the recent purchases by both big pharma companies have already given huge clues on future intentions, and they'll likely be concerned (maybe slightly paranoid) that they will be beaten to the punch by the other.

Having a laugh- difficult to take anything you say seriously, only a few weeks back you were calling 68p as likely to be the next stop down!

No way this doesn't get taken over eventually, they have a great unique platform that is already in demand and getting bigger, watch out Illumina!

As you say yet more big pharma seeing the quality of Nanopore, I'd expect healthy mark up tomorrow, very good news indeed.

This was always going to slip a little after recent rapid rise.

Having topped up earlier at 1.29, I'll now wait 2 months when IPO protection ends...pretty certain it will be a lot higher come then, just depends when the market starts to move in anticipation of that.

On target to achieve guidance for FY is very reassuring news given the economic backdrop.

Only August and September to go before IPO protection ends and this company will likely be a target, especially at these levels (IMO)
