Adam Davidson, CEO of Trident Royalties, discusses offtake milestones and catalysts to boost FY24. Watch the video here.
Not an overnight thing and obviously focussed on stores not generating enough profit but still a big cut over the coming years.
Harchris, can you share any information on the previous situations that DHSC have been in these positions. I’m struggling to nail down good facts and would appreciate any input you have.
I was getting a little nervous about the amount of cash we have left, truth be told. I very much doubt MHC would risk a significant client relationship with Boots, if they thought for a minute that Yourgene could not support them throughout the inevitable increased rollout of the range across more stores .MHC have always acted very professionally in my opinion, so it was a nice piece of news for a change.
I’m assuming they’ll tell us in the RNS announcement tomorrow morning Hemo.
Good Tweeted article from our GM at Yourgene Health Canada.

I like the wrap up paragraph at the end talking about Ranger - Nesbitt also anticipates a near-term deal with another client whose demand will far exceed the demand of its largest current customer.
Good link, thank you. Our guy Andrew has a fantastic profile.
When it comes to selling Ranger kit, we are always very focussed on the large corporates on this board, and for good reason. However, I think we sometimes forget that there is also huge opportunity with the NHS as well, and events like this certainly help to spread the word to the right kind of individuals. Slowly, slowly............
I didn’t realise that, first time I’d found it.
FYI the 5 products are now on the main website, under the ‘DNA Testing’ tab next to the ‘Investors’ tab, stating that they will be ‘available soon’.
I’m interested to see the price point because I appreciate the test website showed them at £45 but Lloyds already has a range of self test products at £12.49, although Boots appears not to have anything of this type at the moment, so that’s where I see the first opportunity.
I meant to say £446,300 per month if we sold an average of 4 tests per store.
Feels exciting all of a sudden. I envisage a soft launch on our website, with a pilot in a select number of Lloyds/Boots stores, if we are lucky. Then maybe product across total store network in Lloyds and/or Boots who between them have 4,463 stores. That would be a result. We don’t know what the margin would be but being conservative at£25 per test that would be £446,300 per month / £5,355,600 per year, or 3 x that if we sold an average of 12 per store, so £1,388,900 / £16,066,800. Interesting times ahead to bolster/replace covid test revenue.
Good find Ella.
Fair point Bakky, Ryanair was maybe the wrong example but it does suggest there are serious numbers for travel ramping up, presumably at lower levels across the non budget airlines but even still, the upwards curve for travel is upon us. In summary, I’m sure we won’t struggle to fill our capacity regardless of what govt framework work may come out way.
I read an article earlier this morning where the CEO of Ryanair was quoted saying they had 1.7 million passengers booked to fly this month (54,000 per day if averaged out). Even in worst case scenario, assuming everyone was going to Spain where outgoing tests are not required, that’s still a lot of PCR tests required upon return, so a lot of business to go around.
I agree Spin, I was just offered 14.15 for 250k shares, so I think there is finally some upwards pressure on the price.
Clearly a great RNS this morning but what I take some comfort from in the run up to the trading update was this statement in the RNS, which does appear to indicate that we have at the very least exceeded last years revenue of 16.6M.
“We believe this has been the right approach to deliver value to our shareholders as we continue to deliver year-on-year revenue growth and position ourselves strongly in both the private and Government testing markets over the next two years”
Good interview with Genomics England that touched on DPYD:
https://www.technologynetworks.com/genomics/articles/genome-sequencing-in-modern-medicine-an-interview-with-genomics-england-347160
“Another area is pharmacogenomics; selecting the right drug or dose of a drug for an individual based on the characteristics of their genome. A new service recently launched by the NHS known as DPYD testing which helps us to understand the dosing of particular chemotherapy drugs, like Fluorouracil. Pharmacogenomics will become very mainstream over time, but at the moment, we are at the beginning of the story.”
Mandatory PCR testing on days 2 and 8, in addition to the current test prior to flying, looks likely, which would be positive for YGEN and its testing partners. However, details of passenger numbers entering the UK are vague in the public domain and range upwards of 1450 per day to ‘stick a finger in the air and guess’, so it’s hard to quantify.
Thanks Steve, I don’t have visibility of the trades on HL at the moment. I’m been really struggling to understand the SP decline of late and to be honest, I’ll feel better if I know it’s a just an individual / II reducing their holding.
That’s 5.7m shares traded today, which is unusually high. There’s been some sustained downward pressure with sells over the last week so clearly someone with a sizeable holding has been wanting to get out. We may well get a TR1 and have some visibility.
Bakky, I investigated this further because it seems odd and this is my message to Paul @ Walbrook and his response:
‘There were 11 roles being advertised with Yourgene until yesterday and now only two remain. It seems highly unlikely that 9 were filled and subsequently removed from their site on the same date. To this end, are you able to please confirm if these roles have been filled, closed for other reasons, or is a system glitch?’
From Paul:
‘Yourgene have been successful in recruiting for their current needs in the UK and continue to recruit internationally and through non-public channels in line with the business requirements. The website was updated accordingly.’
I’m still processing and not entirely sure what to make of that to be honest.
