You will have witnessed the pension scheme has been decimated over that time and been changed 3 times . Also free shares was stop many years ago when everyone was offered free broadband and only can back for 2 years and has stopped again. Most of the other stuff mentioned most people get in different forms.
For God sake most companies provide overalls in this day and age so don't talk as if it's just BT.

In many positions . It is an exciting industry to be in as the changes have been nothing short of breathtaking and like yourself have moved with each change and taken it in our stride.

What I'm seeing at the moment is a young workforce learning the trade which is great for the future but takes time as you know to get it right. They by far outweigh the older generation of which many like me are coming to the end of working life.

So those that voted to strike have been the younger ones as it's not going to make much difference to my generation is it but it going to make a difference to them. I have spoken to many many of them and I can tell you that they are pi.. off with the CEO taking a 32% pay rise while in real terms the workforce has take a huge it over the last few years on theirs.

Now I hear the Ceo say the company can't afford to give the workforce a good pay rise but hey I'll give myself a 32% and 25% to another . Lead by example comes to mind don't you think .
The average call center worker is on £22000 so the CEO has payed himself over 30 years s salary in one hit so 2 years is their lifetimes wage and then some.
He doesn't give a to.. about the workforce and the workforce absolutely know this and without them he would be getting fantastic pay increases.

In all my years I have never seen the workforce like this fleccy I really haven't . I won't go into details to much mate but you know yourself after many years in the industry that this was coming and let's face it they have a right to say enough is enough.
I just wish as we all do to get round the table and talk as this does harm to the company.

I see people have said they would get contractors in but let me say this that a lot of our work ( and you know this Fleccy) is actually repairing the damage caused by them . I fact I bet you've had to do that at some point in your career.

I agree mate mortgages are almost impossible to get for the younger generation and they can go to 35 years plus now leaving them little room to manoeuvre latter in life.
Surely people here must see something has got to change mate and of course it got to be done correctly over time.

Some absolutely fantastic posts on here that gets people actually talking but some just miss the point. What is important in life for most is being able to support your family first and foremost no matter what. Any here ever had it that you can't feed the kids because every penny you have earned goes to keeping a roof over their heads and the bills that go with it.

It's hard for most of us that's for sure so what do you do if you are at that point and this is not just about BT.
What we are starting to see is people fighting for their families and the right to earn enough to feed them and try and give them a fair upbringing and each and everyone of us would do that .
This is not about the Ceo of BT or any other but about a certain standard of living that should be fair for all.
The UK workforce is getting poorer by every year that passes by while the rich just get more and more and that's a fact we see every day .
We are not greedy like those so called above us that take and take to the point that food banks are needed to feed those that work hard for them.
So what do you want to do, say everything is fine and we carry on struggling for scrap or do you fight for your families a try a get at at least basic living.
There is not one person that can truly justify huge pay rises we see from these Ceo's because just go and ask them. Not one of you here could justify why the Ceo of BT has a 32% pay rise. He is already an extremely rich man and has got greedy that is a fact .
If people say the workers are greedy then you should be utterly ashamed of yourselves as you only need to open your eyes and see what's happening around you across the UK.
Sorry but I have the upmost respect for those fighting to help their families have at better life and be able feed them.
Be honest that if you invest then you can afford to lose that money as it's gambling whichever way you want to put it, while others would give anything to have that money to feed the kids .

Well In all honesty I was getting a bit negative myself towards Txp with the delays but I wanted to make sure nothing had changed and what I was doing was still a good investment decision based on what is happening.
I agree Scott that absolutely nothing has changed apart from the timeline and in fact strengthened in some area's.
Txp is a company that has found a world class asset plus Coho and Royston yet before this they had the legacy fields which absolutely pales into insignificance to what's been found.
We have seen time and time again in this sector that most companies fail in the timeliness department and Txp is no different. Some thing that can't be disputed is we can't lay the blame squarely on Txp for these delays as 2 years of covid has happened then Shell plus government. Christ the country was in look down for many many months yet we just wash over that now as if it never happened.
I hold my hands up and have given the company some crap when actually looking at it Txp have done well over that period compared to others.
I do agree with you Scott and MJ that they a top man out in the field overseeing these projects and Paul being in Trinidad on a more regular basis.

Absolutely agree with you both. Cascadura could well hold 1Tcf or more of gas and will be going deeper. After a few years of waiting some have forgotten we never reached the bottom or tested that 558 ft of play .
I also believe the Ema will grant us the EIA quickly after the meeting as it has become an embarrassing situation for all.
I can understand why the market has given us a good kicking but I think a little to much as we will become by far the biggest onshore producer In Trinidad and that will keep growing as we move forward. Royston is a fantastic find but need that ST done so the market can see it will produce a good flow to which it will be sold straight away . That really opens up Royston when you think the size of it, plus that little anomaly under it in kraken.

So the first phase of drilling on the Ortoire block has been nothing short of outstanding that will completely change Txp going forward and that's a fact we are seeing before our eyes.
A world class asset is going to do that to a small company like TXP with many things needed to be put in place which is something maybe we as investors do not think about often enough.
If you are going to build a great company then make sure the foundations are strong enough not just for this moment in time but moving forward.

Fantastic company that needs a few tweaks here and there to bring it up to scratch so I most certainly will give them time to complete the transformation. Let's face it the company is going to make us a lot of money going forward of that there is no doubt.

The very fact that Cascadura has a lot more that could hold a crap load more gas as never completed either drill and the 558 feet to be tested at a later date. Cascadura may produce considerable more gas than they say if more is found in those sheets. After waiting so long you start to forget these things as you focus on what's been found and not the fact they haven't even completed the full wells yet and tested all.

Still believe a lot more to come from Cascadura.

We are looking for an Operations Engineer, to work alongside our General Manager of Operations to oversee field operations, assist and support special projects, and other assignments as required.
