Like trinity have said it's a positive on cash flow for them. Next it's the gas to be sorted which they are speaking to the companies.
So basically looking better for Trinidad oil and gas companies.
Will it increase the take up of onshore and offshore blocks I'm not so sure.

Touchstone at top.
Not to sure now if that 100% correct after thinking about it. After the 4000 bopd we go to the new spt rates as others otherwise it doesn't make sense to increase production because it
goes against what the government is trying to achieve in the first place .
So do we pay the spt on all of it once we go over the 4000bopd or after that point so basically we pay on those bopd after that . And at the reduced rate . Still ant get my head around the sunset clause.
I'm guessing Txp/ trinity are confirming this with the government as we speak.
So Txp exempt from spt up $75 as long as they keep under 4000bopd from one field but above 4000bopd from that field the spt starts at $50 .
I see what you're saying about a huge disincentive to increase production from that field. Got to see what the companies think of it.
Thanks all.
Little bit about Txp in history of o&g in Trinidad

Well look at that share price, think I'll wait to see if it gets to around £1.15 or so then buy a lot and just wondering if we get a discount haha. Got to make the money back . Is PJ under the table still with his tin hat on.
Everything was tested so Paul stated . God if shell and Txp have tested it and passed what the hell is taking so long . Is this safety engineer vastly more experienced than shell and Txp.
I really don't think the government will get many onshore or indeed offshore blocks taken up just on how slow the are to get things done . If companies need any proof then look no further than Txp. Trinidad is becoming a laughing stock to everyone around them.
Let's see what the government comes out within a few days as that will have huge bearing on investment in Trinidad.
Yet you still stayed and took the money . Management are extremely good at always shifting the blame . The complete Management structure not fit for purpose and that's something even you can't deny. Hmm I wonder why BT culled Management of 13 thousand or there about. 34 year and I have had 27 managers yet they want team spirit. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing as the teams are constantly being spilt up. Anyone that works for the company will tell you that what I'm saying is the absolute truth.
I'm actually a fan of Hr as they Weed out bad engineers and managers be that paying them off or sacking them but either way they have gone.
By the sounds of what you've said about the misconduct of engineers I think you didn't have the skill base to work the team correctly to the advantage of the company, but instead chose the route of discipline as that's the easy way to do things. Personally I get more joy in turning round an engineer and working with them to make them better all round.
Everyone on this board has mucked up big time in the jobs they have done and I'm betting a few times . A great manager will see through those mistakes and teach them the correct way. The problem today is most managers haven't a clue about the engineers job as they haven't done it so can't guide them.
So here is the problem now in that managers have patch leads to sort out the difficulties engineers have, many many patch leads that have a couple of years experience so who do they go to for help. They have promoted them as they sat a good interview but lack the skills base to go beyond normal day to day jobs needed to actually help others on complicated solutions.
What are managers actually doing now as it's getting to the point that is there any need for them anymore. Managers now basically sit at home on a laptop doing data and signing off timeshares so talk about a bloody easy job and payed a lot of money to do so. No safety checks to do either as the patch lead does it.
Hmm is lower Management needed anymore as a few people in an office can do that .
Interesting that you put .... ask yourself this if you were paying the wages would you keep them on. Nope people like yourself would have been the first to go as little understanding of what's required from you to be a manager.
