Just to keep you comfortable, there is no way for Russia to attack Poland and the other countries. There are already US troops in Poland whilst Russia is really struggling with equipment and new soldiers. Probing is what they do always, you need to understand the fact that Russia is not a country, it is state of mind and they understand only power of fist. Reg fuel, even if western countried don't buy oil, india, china and few other countries buy it and resell as their own, thats how it works, therefore asking Hungary or Slovakia fully dependend on russian oil doesnt make a lot of sense. The only way to stop russia is full embargo, that will work in about 70% only but thats enough to stop them. Helping ukraine has also two faces, it is country where corruption is just a must,check that out:

Hope you see the complexity, but I'm sure the last thing Russia wants is another open conflict with countries around Baltic Sea.
