I'm getting quoted 59.5p to buy today. That's a bit firmer than previously. I'm still wondering whether the extra 7p (from 60p guaranteed to 67p possible) will amount to anything. Perhaps the firmer price means that it will.
2,000 shares were just traded at 332p. That's a new all time high I think. Nice.
According to the article the guy who tipped Bango at 191.38p (Andrew Hore) was doing it from his sickbed. I can't see him recovering any time soon after today's fiasco. Sympathy to long term SH's
I thought the TU looked pretty good. I'm new to this stock but first impressions are favourable. No doubt i will find some legacy issues if I search back on this bulletin board. Hopefully these are behind the company now and there is some blue sky on the horizon.
It's certainly taking a long time. 2Q 2024 is the expected completion date.
There should be a TU coming next week. Progress is continuing hopefully.
Looking at today's RNS - 2023 was a good year for UEM with a decent uplift in NAV and a continuation of the progressive dividend policy. What's more the SP discount to NAV has widened to 15% so there could be some further upside here with the share repurchase scheme still underway.
This is a very much an 'under the radar' investment trust but results have been consistently good. A core holding for me.
That's very useful Ken. It makes for significant additional income when compared with total gross revenue of £20.5M in the first 6 months of 2023.
A few more contract wins have been announced recently. There should be a Trading Update coming soon I think. The SP has been edging up recently which is encouraging.
It seems like an encouraging RNS. My only reservation is that there are 'no new technical issues' but it the RNS is silent on whether the existing technical issues have been resolved,
Happy NY Rivaldo. Good to receive a small dividend from TST. Not much sign of them buying back shares yet but perhaps that's still to come. Last year they gave a TU in January so let's hope for some good news soon.
(I saw you popping up in the SWG chat too - hopefully that's another small company on a similar trajectory to TST. I opened a small position in SWG last month.)
Dret - the cash offer seems far superior. Like you said you should be able to buy the new shares in the market and pocket the 5-10% trading discount.
The RNS this morning was pretty positive, even if the £ amounts aren't huge. The shares have rallied a bit - 7p currently - but the fact that they haven't jumped more suggests that there is still quite a lot of negativity out there. Hopefully this is the start of the turnaround.
"encouragingly boring" is a good description although it has suddenly dropped 7p this morning for some reason.
"some people dont like what i say but i have always called it right." - you must be a very rich man Jona. Even Warren Buffet gets it wrong sometimes. But good luck to you.
Depends if it transforms things for the better or the worse Mr UN! But hopefully you are right.
How many Holy Grails are there? The RNS talks of this being one of them. I think I must have mis-remembered my Bible Studies classes.
Thanks Rivaldo. Trading in TST is still pretty thin. Normally we can expect a TU in January.
That's exactly what happened. An encouraging (I thought) Capital Markets Day and a new US contract win announced today have pushed the SP above £3.00 again. Nice!
Does anyone know if the US$2.75M settlement with ICP Industrial Inc. announced in the RNS today is good news, bad news, or as expected?
