One word of caution. Enterprise value includes debt taken on. So for example, a debt of £600 million would mean a buyout of £1 billion. Not £1.6 billion.

The Labour clowns have no idea whether they are coming or going. By the way, I received a massive bill in August from British Gas three years AFTER I had left them, because they kept sending me different Bills. They loaded on penalty charges and threatened me with debt collectors (for which they charged me £30). I paid them off in full (they insisted) while it was all sorted out. It turns out they had no reason to extort this money, but refused to recredit me in full. I wrote to the Chief Executives of British Gas and Centrica. No response.

So I wrote to the Energy Secretary (that bacon sandwich eater Milliband). No acknowledgement or response. That's caring Labour for you, if you wish to vote for them again.

I certainly would not worry about what you are Invested in. Who cares? (By the way my Portfolio is up 36% ytd as of yesterday, so couldn't give a to$$ what you think of our Investing choices).

Contra, it takes a very damaged mind to derive pleasure or wish negative outcomes for other people. I feel your pain.

26% ytd is (very) good. I'm not taling about from the Trump tarriff lows. For what it is worth, my daughters' ISAs and SIPPS are up 22% ytd. And my wife and I are up 33% ytd.

I've topped up 10k shares here. Forgetting the childish crowing of the negatives here, calm down and ask yourselves the simple question - Has the sale of half its share by Liberty (they have always made it clear they are long term strategic Investors) changed in any way the operational performance of ITV? No.

This is a knee jerk reaction to unrealistic hopes of a bid by Liberty. The fundamentals have not changed. If anything, others will see their reduced holding as no longer a block to any future bid.
