Although I'd add, Richie, that the reason to do as Jace86 says is so that your shareholding can count towards the votes in favour - you do want this to go through after all. If the RTO is successful and voted through, you won't miss out if you didn't vote - your shares in BOU would just turn into whatever the company lists as post-RTO.

Well spotted. OO said yesterday that he "knew the shareholders" which is how he came to be invited to become the new CEO. I think your find may solve the puzzle of which shareholders in particular.

Those two trades alone make up 0.6% of the shares (currently) in issue. It may not be notifiable, but it's a big buy.

Although, since admission, they've 5-6 bagged, so that's one parallel I wouldn't object to. :-)

Having a look, that seems to be quite different. Here, PSL cleanly sold its trading subsidiaries and took a vote to become a cash shell, with a major investor already on board, and all the time with trading open on AIM. There, they had to suspend because things were suddenly worse than they'd realised, and then the negotiations with Bidstack happened publicly (which they could, because trading was already suspended).

I'm sure it's an interesting story, but I'm not minded to dig any deeper because it seems to be more different than similar to PSL / BOU. (The one striking similarity is the name of the broker acting on behalf of KIN.)

Let's change the subject. This isn't about whether the share price is tanking, or indeed flying.

Precisely. It's no doubt something Zark get involved with, but they don't headline it on their website as a core area of their work. Yet, in the RNS, when ADME wants to give us a summary of their new partner, this minor area of Zark's work is what they choose to include.

I've no idea what deals are being worked, but something big must be going on behind the scenes.

Spot the difference

Lots of good comments today. A few things haven't been said. 1. Issuing at a premium, albeit modest, means those taking part won't be in this to flip for a quick profit but to invest. This is a different animal from most AIM placings.

2. This is about deals. They just have to say they're evaluating things because they're not ready to announce anything concrete. We know this from yesterday's interview.

3. This must be coordinated. I can't believe that Peel Hunt and ZC independently decided this was a winner to put over 15% in each. It's only a winner because of the deals that may be coming, so this is evidence of a joined up plan.

4. The need for speed. Having just raised £500k, they weren't in desperate need for working capital. So they could have announced an EGM to approve the extra shares, then done it all in one placing. Instead, more work, they instantly placed what they could, and only defer the rest to later. So they must need the first tranche of funding quickly.

Put this all together: I'd expect more news fairly soon, to tell us something specific that's been dealt.

Notice for a GM is clear days' notice, and for an EGM it's 14. (Only AGM's of PLCs are 21 days).
If they're to avoid suspension, they'd need to have held the EGM by Friday 4th October at the latest.
That means the 14 days notice would have to be Fri 20th Sept to Thur 3rd Oct inclusive.
That means ("clear notice", remember) the latest they could publish the EGM agenda and call the meeting would be Thursday 19th Sept.

Jimmy2011 - that's the "final day" if avoiding suspension is in view.
I'm inclined to agree with Jace86, and this coming Friday is my vote.

That's a very helpful summary transcription, even if it's not word-for-word.

I thought the whole thing was really positive. He's obviously very experienced, has a number of deals being worked on some at an advanced stage, and knows how Africa works. He's ambitious - maybe we'll become an operator, but that's for 6-12 months time and may require moving to a different exchange - but realistic - we're not getting into exploration at our size.

I'm quietly hopeful.

Basically, we're back where we were before HH came and then left. The difference is, (i) we still have his money [individual investors may not have their money, but the money that HH put into the business stayed there], (ii) there have been a couple of Aje liftings since then, so we're nearer to profit, and (iii) we have a new CEO.

The price dropped today only as a result of two not particularly large sells, the first of which was at 12.36, 3 minutes _before_ the video was released, and the second of which was at a slightly higher price. Not the video's fault.

I took his tone at that point to be tongue-in-cheek. It was said with a twinkle in his eye: "Maybe if we're a billion dollar company we might consider exploration, but for the time being forget it!"

"Our current charter is just as an investment company. In 6 months to a years's time we want to evolve into an operating company. That requires us, possibly, migrating to a different exchange."
