With the permit now in place we could get news on this sooner or later. There was no point in finalising/announcing agreement without the permit.

But even if agreements cannot be reached I believe the Government can declare the project important enough to sanction a type of compulsory purchase scheme.

Again assuming the Government is interested in the taxes and royalties CNR would generate it would solve the problem.

Seingred, you can either believe me or not, I'm not that fussed.

Piecing together various bits and pieces it basically boils down to, CNR have made offers to all landowners, those that have not accepted have indicated the price they would sell at.
So yes CNR could acquire all the land but in interest of all shareholders this has to be negotiated. I'm guessing last man standing will get his asking price.

EL all land owners have agreed to sell, but at what price has not been finalised. I'm guessing MC is trying to get the best deal for CNR and not pay over the odds.
