Well let's hope, desperate or not, that it works and that LA has a good influence in how the company is run and the decisions it makes.
At least the new areas that are being pursued are more in vogue and with more eyes looking at us it can only be a good thing for the potential of Fortacin in Asia.

@Bignose Yes, a very surprising turn of events. I do concur with your sentiments.

The positive take away is at least it seems like they have some interest in turning RP into some sort of exciting company and presumably they are all wanting to make a lot of money out of it – not the 4%.

I suppose it’s now a lot down to whether they can now capture some interest from the HK investment community – I do think that Lorne Abony has some good ideas, maybe this can reinvigorate the company.

If you read the article written below and do the calculations we are now priced at the lowest value they mention that the listing price should be worth – you could argue that since the market has gone up since this article was written figures maybe should be higher now or that a fair reflection of that value would be somewhere in the middle. Either way it does look that how the company is valued at the moment (at zero or less) there is surely zero downside!!
Anthony Chow did mention this point at the weekend whilst chatting, in my experience these sort of seemingly impossible valuation anomalys do occur from time to time and do often seem to take a long time to correct, I'd much rather be in these sort of situations than just watching them. I'm sure it will rerate sooner or later as the valuation does seem very odd right now.

I guess how quickly it gets going in the Middle East depends on initially how quickly we can sign a deal and then how quickly that company wants to bring it to market – but a deal would be promising to see! Jamie did seem very positive on this.

I was told that the HK/Macau launch would be in 3-4 months, at the very least it should make it more of a reality to the HK resident investment community – rather than something for sale in some far off foreign lands!

I didn’t actually talk to him about Latin America – I don’t know if the licence may be linked to the USA depending on who they went with to take it to market?

Yes, indeed I did attend. I did keep an eye out for you but our path’s seemingly didn’t cross.

I was pleased to have a couple of chats with Jamie, who I think may have arrived late but was there to the bitter end!

He seemed in very good spirits and was very positive about how things are shaping up (which I know he would be).

Obviously he stated that the biggest opportunities lie in China and USA where consumers can be marketed to directly, as we know.

I discussed with him about attitudes in Asia in general towards sex, with the obvious hang-ups of the western population and he agreed with me that sex is a far more open subject in Asia and people are more than willing to take something to improve their sexual prowess!

I have always thought that Viagra could go hand in hand with Fortacin for this reason. Although you would obviously have to be physically in HK or Macau to buy Fortacin he did mention that specific Sex and Gambling trips are organised from China which can only bode well and reminds me of a situation that Dr Mike told me about in the early stages of Viagra

He also made some very positive noises about the middle east, where it’s fairly well known that they have a similar attitude towards sexual prowess improvement!

I got the impression from talking with Anthony Chow that everyone had been quite surprised quite how harsh the Australian tax authority had been in the Venturex tax issue. Jamie was very upbeat about Venturex’s near term chances and I did ask if he was confident of meeting the tax payment which he was.

I’m quite excited how this year will shape up for RP, things do seem to be eventually all lining up – my personal opinion is that Asia could well be a bigger opportunity than USA and should be realised sooner, I think it’s just not as well understood but with good partners helping us who must also see and want to exploit the huge opportunity it should be amazing.

@ The Italian You have a great point that our Venturex stake value is the same as the settlement value – obviously not coincidence, I’m sure was just the deal negotiated – value of investment as it stood.

I have a feeling that the venture holding will be disposed of via either JM directly or JM investment vehicle for clean slate. Whatever, I think that there must be some sort of plan – it would also fit with the plan to remove the historic investments from the company.

Who knows with this issue behind us is RP ready to sell to Orient EuroPharma or Wanbang Biopharmaceuticals if they fancy a HK listing? Stranger things have happened!

@bunion Agree! The value is just beginning to be tapped, any potential buyer can see from many independent studies that PE is a big problem in the world with huge potential ongoing market.

That was pdq! I don't buy that some new change to an algorithm is picking these up though.
My guess is that a much bigger deal involving a US entity wanted some of ROW licences with US was more attractive to go after than the deal in hand, but all guess work - at least now we are seeing the results of some negotiations which can only be encouraging for the prospects of others which have obviously been in the pipeline for some time.

Yes, all a bit puzzling - I guess there must be discussions with some big US pharma, maybe after that who could have said that they would want LA as well? Although obviously could have been any number of reasons all guess work... still no reason why other news shouldn't come through soon.
I still think that Plethora is hugely undervalued and would be pocket change for some big entity to snap up.....after all that does fit into RP's stated strategy although they obviously say that they are in Plethora for the course but when wouldn't they say that? - only after selling I should think.

I get the impression that the 'article campaign' hasn't started yet and at least some of the recent disappointing sp movement has to be put down to market conditions.
Yes, hopefully some more news out of RP soon. I can't see any reason why other area's agreements wouldn't be struck, obviously negotiations must have been going on but at what stage anything is at who knows. It will be interesting to see how the story develops this year and if they can raise their profile in HK (hopefully!) although I can't help thinking that this should have been progressed before the recent news.... I find this a little bit strange.

It does seem like we are somewhat under the radar still - no one is banging a drum about us yet, hopefully now a bit of time and some more news with a bit of column space will alert people to the potential.
It seems impossible to predict when next news will come given recent announcement!

Great news! Made more exciting by not including HK/Macau surely this deal is just round the corner.... do we now assume Taiwanese company??!
This makes me wonder if we are nearly there with a USA partner, could explain the delay there?
Anyway we have the very real prospect now of even more good news in the imminent pipeline.
Yes, it will be very interesting to see the market reaction tomorrow for all the reasons already raised - it really does seem as though it has been kept very quiet!

Mine is with Charles Stanley, if that's any help - they seem reasonable enough and quite good customer service which I feel is important.

I see the 'back door' into China just as a territory very close to the main market where people can go and get hold of the product, with the large through put of people between China and HK/Macau I think this ticks the box before approval in China. A similar thing happened before the US Viagra way back which made a few people very wealthy!

Good, sounds to me like we are close to a deal with a Chinese pharma who will help with the role out in HK/Macau early 2019. That might garner a bit of local interest.
