RE: Buys v Sells 7:1 so far today….2 Jun 2026 10:35
Fell,
I think the volume on these buys and sells is too low to read anything into, if I'm honest.
Metals One is in a familiar pattern. The share price drifts down, spikes briefly on an RNS, then resumes the slide. That happens when selling pressure consistently outweighs buying interest. With no news catalyst to attract new buyers, sellers have to keep lowering their ask until someone bites, and market makers widen the spread to reflect the thin, one-directional flow.
My current thought is there's potentially a lot of good news in the next six months. South African gold, North American gold, and North American uranium could all move the share price materially if results are positive, which I strongly believe they will be. But the path to that news is long and uncertain, and in my view there's unlikely to be any sustained upward movement unless something significant breaks in the short term.
That said, we're due the year-end December 2025 results by the end of June, and I think that release could generate some short-term positivity. My expectation is that the books will show a meaningful improvement, demonstrating cash position, tighter control, and a credible route to shareholder value, alongside what will likely be a portfolio update. The accounts don't need to show shovels in the ground, improving fundamentals and directional progress on the projects should be enough to move sentiment.
Any positive project news between now and then would compound the effect, provided it shows Metals One moving forward toward cash generation.
So for now, I'm sitting tight and not sweating individual buys and sells, or a drifting share price on quiet days. End of June is what I'll be watching.
