Im holding this in my sipp till I retire now since I cant buy any more.
I bought some shares in microstratagy a couple of months back as well to give me more exposure.
Ive been here for a very long time. I've just realised a 15k loss on this share but now I'm out you are sure to start a meteoric rise that will be spoke about in generations to come.
To top it off I went to top up my bitcoin tracker with the 900 quid I had left from here but the FCA has banned the sale of bitcoin derivatives citing that they are a risk to retail investors. They might ban hur next.....
Not likely. How many have been issued on the drop from 60p? Not a lot considering all the shares that's been traded since then.
That article if from last year. Welcome to 2020, we're all in lockdown so please stay safe :)
"Great that they seem to priorities offshore workers with testing, maybe because its Aberdeen and Scotland still seems lightly effected compared to London ect."
Of the 4 that were sent home from my rig this week none were tested. We were told that you couldn't even buy a test kit because they were all being used by the NHS.
It certainly will and it already has but you won't have heard of it. The rig I work on, which shall remain unnamed, has sent home 4 suspected cases this week without a peep in the news. They were flown back on a normal chopper, albeit sent out for them specifically with some added health and safety precautions, not the special corona chopper the coast guard are using. If the case on the AM needed the coast guard then they must have been in a serious condition. I hope whoever it is recovers fully.
I sold today at 9p, to finally accept a 75% loss, because I believe this crisis has a long way to go yet . I had made the decision over the weekend but couldn't get to my computer first thing when the markets opened. Sad times.
The key statement in the RNS is:
"a) Please see Annex 1 below for the instruments concerned"
Could you please include annex 1 AquaeSulis01?
"Is it likely that she has been brought in for a main stock market listing."
It states in the RNS why she was hired:
"These skills will be invaluable as Hurricane progresses its Rona Ridge assets towards full field development"
Was no no news good news on the last drill? We were all shocked when that rns was dropped.
I want this to come good as much as the next guy but don't pretend that the silence means anything.
Are they? It seems to me that all the trades +5k are sells. I don't have L2 access though.
I've held this share for years but I sold out a few weeks ago at 44p. I really don't see the point in holding for these drill results because, lets face it, in the best case scenario the price will jump 10% but if they are mediocre or rubbish the price will tank to only god knows what. It's much safer to sit on the sidelines and reinvest when the dust settles (no pun intended!).
The reason we are down is because I bought back in earlier.
I've only really been in a couple of shares in my investment career and the shares that I have been invested in I've watched over and over rise, for a brief period, and then fall. This cycle seems inevitable. In the past i've put up with it but not this time - I have 20k in my pot and by pulling out of HUR last week I've saved myself over 2k! The only thing I have to worry about is when to buy back in.
I'm out at 53p. I've been in this share for years and bought when it was at 30 odd pence, before the big rise and subsequent fall. I've just seen this pattern too many times now not sell and buy back later.
for today of 53p. Long may it continue.
After 5+ years, I'm out! I should have sold up long when the company changed name but I didn't want to realise my loss. Well now my loss has been written in stone: £430 was what I got from my original investment of £3700. On the bright side, it's one less share to read about.
Where is that 20% drop you predicted? Next time don't be so dramatic.
I take it back, instead of unsettling, I should have said frustrating. It's been six weeks now since we last had an update and it would be nice to be informed from the horses mouth when they expect the AM to sail.
Look, I never said anything before because I didn't want to scare anyone into selling. I certainly haven't sold.
At the end of the day, the AM will eventually be on location at some point in 2019 and we will all be rewarded once the oil starts to flow.
As soon as I read that the AM would be in dock for an extended period of time alarm bells started ringing. Bluewater has a terrible record of time keeping when it comes to refits. I personally waited over 6 months for their vessel, the Haewene Brim, to get on location after being in dry dock to start working there as core crew. It was only supposed to be there for 6 weeks! Also, I met someone who worked on the AM years ago while it was in Holland having ALL the wiring changed. Apparently when the AM was refitted in the ME they fitted the wrong spec of power cables throughout the vessel and so had to stop over in Holland for weeks to have them stripped out and refitted.
The lack of information from Hurricane is unsettling. I'm a long term holder and still held when the SP was down to the 12's so I cant get too annoyed.
