SMT's my 3rd largest holding (in my 'normal' portfolio), after BP and Fundsmith.

Yep, I've been flipping BP a lot this year; Over 100 trades so far since xmas.
Some small, some larger, but all better than the dividend.
It's not even in my trading portfolio!
Smaller percentages than flipping AIMs, but I can trade larger amounts as I feel much 'safer' than I would here and I still get a (small) dividend, if I do get stuck.

I think SMT may only be a small short-term gain.
But I also think there's a larger medium-long term gain just because of where their their exposure lies.
Not really a trader for me, more of a long term hold (though I did sell twice last year, expecting one fall and catching the second by fluke).
Think it's at, or near the bottom now.
I bought back in at 800p, or thereabouts both times.

The trust gives me access to shares I wouldn't, or couldn't, normally buy myself (ie. SpaceX).

It's still possible to profit when shares fall as well as rise.
I've found it takes more of my time though as it's more difficult.
At least it is for me.

Some of my career was closely connected to the air industry for a considerable time.
I can't advise you (or anyone) but I would hold those shares.
I am surprised with where they are, but I expected them to bounce "after Covid" and everyone wanting to go on holiday again.
But I hadn't thought about the after-effects.
The airlines (BA particularly) got rid of a lot of staff as soon as they could promising to re-employ them.
That hasn't happened, from both sides.
The airlines took the opportunity to re-employ lower numbers; and the redundant employees found new work/careers.
That's caused the current problems with all the 'backroom' jobs (baggage handlers, etc).
If we can control Covid sufficiently for most travel (commercial and leisure) to resume, sales and profits will follow.
I would have more faith in IAG than others, even though BA fired something like 30k and have only (this far) re-employed 10k.
Hardly any wonder they're experiencing difficulty.

Industrial disputes timed to coincide with school summer holidays will also weigh heavy on passenger sentiment and the industry in general this year.
I don't hold IAG (did consider it), but recently acquired some in the cruise liner industry.

Essentially all he's doing is criticising all the posts that he's made himself, suggesting the SP was about to explode.

1st. Sorry; this doesn't concern UKOG.

I'm not ramping this, just offering some info on something I'm watching (I am fortunate enough that I have no need to ramp anything I'm invested in or attempting to 'trade').
It might be a good opportunity (in the short, medium and long terms).
Do Your Own Research (DYOR).

SMT (Scottish Mortgage Trust) is something I hold in my "normal" balanced portfolio.
It's currently trading at 18% under it's NAV (Net Asset Value).
I don't trade SMT at all*.., I just invest in it regularly, at least annually, as part of my "safe" strategy.

*I did sell 1/2 of my holding at the start of last year and again at the end - bought all back recently at under £7.
If I had cash left I'd buy more, as I am quite satisfied with the reasoning behind it's fall since Nov'21.

Again sorry it's not UKOG, just offering info for anyone who might be interested in a random opportunity.
Happy if you (we) make anything from it, apologies if you don't (hence:- "DYOR").

Some reasons it's fallen;
Companies it holds have fallen in value (has a big US/China exposure); Ukraine; China; Covid; Small exposure to Bitcoin; Pre-planned fund manager departure back in May.

It's embarrassing how hard he's having to try.
Even Tymers wasn't this deluded.
