I'm surprised he's only claiming 0.8p now.
He seems to have given up on his 2p - 5p claims.

No Maqsood, you need to go through what has happened here over the last five years.
SCC are terrified by their nimby/swampy voters' disapproval and have come up with ridiculous reasons to reject UKOG requests to recover oil & gas, even without any fracking intentions.
Throw fracking into the mix (which UKOG have repeatedly refused to do) and they would need to call the army in.

But I retired a few years ago, at 54.
I've already made my money and secured my future.
I still invest now, but more as a sideline and for the benefit of the heirs to my estate.
I am not homeless and have invested here for the last five years with a small percentage of my portfolio but seeing returns in excess of 10,000%.
I am not aware of any news over the last five years, suggesting anyone invested in UKOG has lost their homes.
Where I'm from we call what you're doing, "flapping your gums".

It's a serious claim to make and could be quite sensational, if proved accurate.

UK doesn't approve fracking applications.
UK Govt has thrown it back to local authorities.
So yes, SCC is part of the UK and, also yes, anyone fracking would require SCC approval to frack in Surrey.

I started out here with the idea of buy shares and seeing what happened over five years.
I don't like shares that rise and fall a lot in a short space of time and my holding here trebled in a very short time.
So I sold and took the profit.
Then I tried flipping shares which ran against the grain but I had seen some success (purely by accident) because of the above.
UKOG shares were particularly volatile over the next eighteen months.
Although they fell from then on, there were occasional spikes upward.
I say occasional, sometimes they would rise and fall 20% or more several times per day.
So I found it easy to target 10% of that and, because I would leave a Pending Order with H-L (my preferred platform) sometimes I would catch rather more.
Anyway, I'm playing Devil's advocate for trading the shares, rather than holding.
Because of their volatility I was able to profit all the way down.
Recently not so successful as the volatility has mostly disappeared too.
Maybe worth considering as an alternative means to turn a profit here though(?).
Just a suggestion, based upon my own experience.

I'm still wary of this form opf investing as it is not natural for me and smacks more of the 'gambler' mindset.
But I post about it because of my experience and because I wasn't expecting it.

I was a lot more positive until the dilution began.
And then continued.. with more and more projects and still no profits.
Always promising new projects would be "funded internally" and turning that into more and more dilution.
There is, and has been for some while, a HUGE red flag here.

That's not to say that money can't still be made here.
But those opportunities are few and far between these days, come with little warning, and then last less and less.
You need to GYOR and understand what you might be getting into.
There's a lot of fantasy spouted here to try and get people out of a hole with your money.
Best you're informed so you don't fall for any of that.
