Gigi, where's your proof Tesla is putting Sodium batteries in a Tesla next year? The only thing you've shared is some video of a Blonde Ozzy whose spent too long in the sun.
Sodium may have a limited application in low temperature environments, but its energy density is lower so you can't get the same weights of battery in a high performance car. High performance cars need to be light. Cars also need to be lighter so their suspensions are more comfortable.
For trucks, you have limited space for batteries, and trucks need a long range. The more energy density you have, the more range you get from your truck from the space you have available.
