Looks like IRR trying to divorce from DGR group of companies. Can see it in a series of announcements with the office move to Sydney and IRR getting its own CFO and company secretary. Perhaps a board change at IRR to follow.
Gangfeng dropping US 194 mill for a 50:50 JV for Firefinch's Lithium project in Mali. Firefinch is similar to IRR in many respects in that they have gold and Lithium assets that they are looking to split / demerge. I wouldn't be surprised if IRR has had similar JV approaches over their Lithium asset in Ghana and something could get announced soon with them selecting a good partner to JV with. FFX will likely spike hard when it comes out of a trading halt.
IRR is extremely undervalued relative to the value of FFX's Lithium project which is land locked, a long distance from a port, needs some significant infrastructure to be built and is in Mali which is nowhere near as politically stable as Ghana (There was a coup there just a few weeks ago). If IRR can announce a similar sort of JV with a good partner then I would expect the stock to skyrocket and this will flow through to DGR.
I agree with him.

As you say you can see the ads on TV here in oz where BHP advertise themselves as a copper company. They cancelled the Olympic dam expansion on the basis of it being too expensive so where is their future copper going to come from I wonder. I think it is only a matter of time before BHP makes a play to take over Solgold. I however think that their actions in colluding with Newcrest and Cornerstone last year to attempt to vote Nick off the board may come back and count against them as it’s likely that Nick with DGR and his buddies with their 20pc odd holdings will ultimately be the kingmakers should multiple bids emerge say in a China vs Australia scenario. Will Nick hold a grudge, will he just want top dollar and not care who gets control of Solgold or will he be a patriotic Aussie and back team Australia who would likely develop the assets in a better and more responsible way for the people of Ecuador than what China would? Who knows but it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
There is the potential for a Australia with BHP, Newcrest / USA vs China bidding war for Solgold, if this plays out due to the geopolitical considerations involved it is possible that the bidding could go to great heights as if China gets control of Solgold that could conceivably help satisfy their copper requirements for the next half century.
