Although rather suspicious about the huge drop and huge rise, todays price was just too tempting to ignore. hence I have purchased a modest tranche and will see which way the wind blows from here.

I doubt the market could repeat such a drop as previous, as it would surely arouse more suspicion if it did.

I have taken the plunge and doubled up, my average now is just shy of 140p, not looking for a profit I just dont want a loss after all these totuous years and hopefully within the next 5 years the SP will reach 140p or beyond, who knows...

For the record I have no faith in management to have private investors best interests at heart but I guess thats what happens when a company plays the market while its management live the life of Riley.....no pun intended of course.

Still waiting for the acapella from Shrill..........will it be a number one belter or a total flop?

yep, we have Admiral alaric on bass and Blueshrill as lead singer, belting out the hits one after another....the problem is their A side track dont budge, it just cant get the momentum if you catch my drift.

Still looking forward to the promised Tosca rendition from ole Bluey. Perhaps he warming up his chords as I type, so come on Bluey, I am sure youre fans are besides themselves in anticipation waiting for it )

I think fair value for NOW would be around 400p, then once revenues are clear in the Spring a fair price would be somewhere between 200p - 300p, just my opinion.

Lets all prey that some more Quinns dont come out of the washing machine in the meantime as that would decimate the share price in seconds!

In one short month this stocks share price has crashed by almost 30%, I called this stock a sell when the share price was over 900p and said that I believed its inflection point had been reached.

30% is a massive move down IMO another 30% and we visit 400p.

I believe that come the Spring time the profits and revenues will reveal a massive decline as the ESMA effect will then be truly shown, I also believe that the spread betting industries days are numbered, this may of course be exarberated should the so far illusive PPI equivalent rear its potentially ugly litagious head.

IMHO should this event transpire its game over for the industry. I will be looking to add and take out new short positions on certain companies in advance of what I perceive to be a very delicate time for not just spread betting companies but also other entities whom provide similar instruments via leverage, some of these I have identified are US stocks.

I believe sports betting will be the new equities betting in the not too distant future....

Sorry Fantom, I dont buy that analogy, as from my basic research to date the rejected asthma treatment which you refer to was not even priced in to the Hikma share price, so that explanation holds little weight with me.

As for the generic guidance side of things, again that does not wash for me as from what I see a small drop in anticipated forward guidance does not equate to a 70% (2.5B) drop in value of a company such as Hikma. If that were the case then why would the stock gain 160% in 5 months? did I miss the RNS that said the asthma drug was approved, or the RNS that said the injectables guidance was in fact wrong and its now some 500% more than anticipated?

IMHO something far more sinister went on here, quite what I do not know but judging by the analysts double downgrades from Barclays and Jefferies when this stock was trading low 800s, and saying that the price was going lower, for it to then suddenly turn around and gain 160% in a few short months to top 2000p just recently, to me that price was artificially pushed lower for a reason, a reason that is not clear to me at this current time but hopefully soon I will be able to connect the dots and find out the truth behind it.

Having a fairly good idea of the market machinations, it would be interesting and somewhat revealing to find out if there were any large positions exposed to this stock by way of options calls or spread bets.

Another oddity here is that I have been carrying out some research on stocks that have had crazy swings on no apparent news, and have found a correlation between the stocks in question and also certain hedge funds taking out short positions on those stocks preceeding and during a stocks decline.

For this reason I am most certainly going to refrain from investing here until I satistfy myself that nothing untoward went on here, although at present the stocks huge drop followed by an even bigger rise is IMO highly suspicious to say the least.

When the word "knowingly" is used , it means that the defendant realized what he was doing and was aware of the nature of his conduct and did not act through ignorance, mistake, or accident. Knowledge may be proved by the defendant's conduct and by all the facts and circumstances surrounding the case.

IMHO, it would not be too difficult for persons whom believe they were "rinsed" by a spread betting company to prove that the provider at a minimum knew what was going on. Whilst one admits there must be several financial outfits involved in order to actually be able to "rinse" a client, the bare facts remain that such outfits carry this out knowingly.

For example, a spread bet company alone cannot "rinse" a client alone, in order to "rinse" a client one would assume the input of a market maker, a bank or hedge fund trader along with an analyst and broker would be needed in order to complete the cycle.

The next issue is the burdon of proof, ie beyond reasonable doubt. For example, some proceedings may only require “clear and convincing” evidence. This standard of proof requires the moving party to show that there is a high probability that the thing being asserted is true.

Another standard of proof is “preponderance of the evidence.” This standard requires that the moving party show that it is more likely than not that the thing being asserted is true.

Now imagine if there were a few like minded people that got together since the Peter Quinn saga and they too believed they were "rinsed" by IG or any of the other spread betting companies, what if this collective had proof showing that "beyond reasonable doubt" spread betting companies "rinsed" their clients?

It would not be a good time for the spread betting PPI equivalent to rear its ugly head for IG, especially after Peter H the ex CEO making a rapid exit.....could it be that he knows what may be coming, did something occur during the hearing of Peter Quinn that may have potentially opened up the proverbial can of worms for the industry?

I have a feeling that there is something stirring in the murky waters that will rear its ugly head in the not too distant...

Thank you Dar for your kind shared research regarding figures, however it was not that I was questioning.

My question was, why did the share price go from 2300 to 800 in less than a year and then from 800 back to over 2000 in less than 5 months. It basically lost 70% on from what I can see as no reason, then again it surged from that price some 160% and again from what I can see no apparent reason.

These swings are usually found in pharma companies when a companies main drug pipe line fails or a study patient dies and the massive 160% rise is usually associated with massive news on a breakthrough drug being passed by the FDA, neither of these events occured yet the stock moved some 230% in just over a year which for a stable company such as Hikma is rather odd to say the least, to be honest the move to me is very suspicious and I am surprised that the FCA did not look into this huge price movement on nothing.

Im holding back investing on this one for now until I am satisfied that something untoward has not gone on.

SILA, its not the future PPI type claims you need to be worried about, its the ones preceeding the legislation you should fear.

IGGs revenues are approx 450m, I would hazard a guess that a significant tranche of that is contrived from the washing machine cycle if you catch my drift............

This aint over for IGG yet, IMHO Peter Quinn was just the start!!

for the spread betting Indusry me thinks, Peter steeping down MASSIVE RED FLAG IMHO!!!

I am waiting for Odey to get their teeth into their short again and take this to 200p.

Perhaps CMC with the enforced rules on the main part of their business will fold and that will start the snowball effect, IG may be the last standing and the last to turn out the lights also.

Worrying times for the indusrty and as the new rules require a minimum 500k in investments, I would not feel safe having that much money on deposit in such an unsure industry as IG operates.

This seems on a downward trajectory now and only hope is keeping the share price from plummeting.

Good luck to the high buyers but after more than 45 years this old dog has finally run out of tricks...
