The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I know little of the internal workings of Ireland but being a "small" place ... if veteran business men are getting involved this has to be a positive as presumably word goes around as quickly as in a Tory party conference !
The wonder for me is that the Irish government as part of its green strategy doesn t choose to develop the site itself .... it could easily be sold as a green move as presumably home produced gas/resources are cheaper/greener/smarter than buying from God knows where, from God knows who ... and what s more possibly fracked .....
you say there is no doubt BROE has resources ... but Bseye ... if there was no doubt oil players would have farmed in ... there is an issue obviously ... you just have not been informed ... resources yes... profitably recoverable resources ... clearly there is an issue .... and clearly it has not been resolved ... as had been implied .....
if what has occurred over the last 15 years ... successive management teams living the life of reilly literally .... on investor money ... with plan after plan clearly successive pie in the sky ..... there is something wrong with stock market rules ....
yes but a muppet that sucked millions out of the company ... he was so full of ..... ... They must have shoved the blarney stone down his throat at a young age and were unable to get it back... wherever he is now we can be sure of one thing ... he is still talking .....
manyana is like a sleeping child ... when he is asleep you want to wake him up but once awake you thin **** what have I done ... !
Lots of people won t/don t tolerate nuclear but that unfortunately doesn t make them right .... ideally perhaps we “should” all go back to horses and sailing boats but ... the reality is billions of people are coming into the grid and they want air conditioning NOW!
the failure of the Green movement to accept and prioritise nuclear condemns them ... and makes them a major part of the problem of climate change and not at all part of the solution .... it is unfortunate .....
Term sheets are used as a bridge in the negotiating process ...... prior to signing an actual binding agreement ..... they have legal effect in other countries which apply a good faith standard in negotiations but not in the UK ....
LOI s, term sheets, MoU, MoA etc are non-binding although they can contain some binding side elements concerning side issues such as exclusivity (re the negotiations) / confidentiality .....if a term sheet is contractual ie contains the elements necessary for a contract .... then by definition it is no longer a term sheet and is an actual contract ... ie the lawyer drafting the document has erred and allowed a contract to form .... believe me the lawyers working in oil & has know how to draft
it’s complicated Juan and like most things is probably too complicated to explain on a postcard .....
The term sheets are not BS ... the fact they are used is just proof people aren t there yet ..... rather than thinking whether they are binding it might be easier to think in terms of as to what are they binding about ... for example they might be binding to negotiate a deal in good faith but not binding as to the terms of that deal .... ie empty ..... the real positive in my opinion is that these guys don t at this stage of their career need to be milking this whereas milking everyone and anyone was i suspect part of the O Reilly manual ... you don t fly so high so fast without scrimping on the foundations ... which also explains the frequent fast descent ... at last there are serious people at the helm ... whether it is too little too late remains to be seen ... getting this off the ground at the present price and Covid environment will be a feat ... but perhaps these are the gents to do it .... at least they appear to want to do it whilst the bronze just wanted a quick buck .... I suspect .... nothing wrong with that either ... I m just sorry it was mine!
Well Cags ... its only a problem if it is a problem and if it is a problem this won t really matter as I suspect nobody would have the money to go to court to try and enforce these undeetakings as legal .... it is just aspirational use of language .... rather than exact language .... and as always a tad self serving .... which of not great for confidence building .... especially after what we have been through with the guy who always claimed to like turning the drill bit ... but I suspect it was only his own!
A binding term sheet is a contract and thus no longer a term sheet ie a negotiating document .... a term sheet is by definition non contractual ...consequently the term”binding term sheet” is a suspicious one ... normally used when one party would like it to b binding and the other would not ....
yes but between doing the right thing and "being seen" to do the right thing ... there is a very wide PC gulf Raven
.... what logic demands and what emotion demands are very different things ...
Presumably for years the French have tolerated Uk lorries on their motorways and refugees from our former colonies trying to get into the uk from northern France .... for an Irishman Juan you sound awfully like a one-eyed English boor !
Would you think of blessing the AGM Father Q?
I suggest that from now on .... no one is allowed to post unless they use the word “chinwagging” ....Or a derivative . ! For example Mr F and the Bronze had the money but after a good chinwag both decided to make a mistake and not invest in Broe ....
I guess the equivalence is that they are both expressions of free speech although I agree with you as regards the value of their respective content
I agree I was just making the point that public demonstrations even if for a good cause should be criticised as well ... as they also endanger the lives of the vulnerable ...
what I genuinely don't understand is why Trump or anyone else was considered a manic despot for trying to return the country back to work or having a political meeting (probably correctly I think) by large sections of the press .... but political activists on black lives matter are given a complete free pass ..... how many lives (and statistically a lot of them black) are going to be lost because of the resulting spikes ... and if there are no resulting spikes then the back to work campaign was probably correct .... double standards?
Thanks for the informationJuan ....politics is all about power and power about money so .... it will all eventually work out I suppose .....
Re black lives matter I don t think anyone is saying that other lives don t matter ... the emphasis on the black part is because of the "special treatment" non whites have received from those mainly whites in power all over the world for a number of centuries now ..... and that somewhere that treatment is now considered justification for a "special emphasis" on the significances of the black struggle ..... the reality of course is that people form into tribes of one sort or other as a self defence mechanism (whether based on color, ideology, genealogy or whatever ... the trigger is not important the protection it confers it the rationale) and then use their collective strength to further their common good ... all people do this ..... as indeed white Rhodesian farmers have been finding out for the last 30 years ..... still just as the concentration camp victims beat their guards to death at the end of WW2 a bit of retribution on the part of black Africans is understandable if of course not right and of course we are not responsible for the sins of our fathers ..... ... but perhaps we can be a tad embarrassed by them !!!! The point is remove color and people will still continue to group together collectively at the expense of others ...any masons out there!
well I cannot claim to know anything about Irish politics but if the Irish greens are like their brethern world wide I will be surprised if they ever agree on anything let alone going into coalition with two seemingly main stream parties that have to try and hold onto their traditional voters .....coalitions normally only work when people are working off positions of power .... so even if they voted to go into coalition ... it would not be log before they revolt ..... perhaps that is the main party strategy ... in any event it is all irrelevant as Broe is as I understand safe ....
