TA is a very useful tool, i don't think anyone would argue with that. But it's not a binary does it work/it doesn't work choice. That's disingenuous. With a lack of news and decent volatility TA is very useful, significant news tends to decrease its usefulness imo

I believe fear of losing profits for those in around the 130 level before last weeks rise is causing a few to cash in - thats fine, we want stickier shareholders!

Because if a company has news that would be considered market sensitive, they have to release it immediately. Regardless of when directors have had options granted or bought shares. Think you are confusing with a closed period - which is when directors cannot deal within 60 days of the annual results

If one of the MM's is in a hole, at some point that hole will need to be filled - i wonder where that level is, i hope we reach it before tender news as i suspect filling that whole will require the buying back of millions of shares if they have been at this for months!
