A nice summary, except Cas Chinook and Cas deep are all going to be connected together and routed to the main line in one pipeline so they will most likely all come on line together. We have been told this by Paul in interviews.

Carapal ridge was sold for half the well head sales price of the proven reserves. The full extent of our reserves cannot be accurately established until the wells have flowed for some time to get lots more data. Carapal ridge was piped up and on extended test before it was sold. So i don't see a sale here at all until after Cascadura, Chinook and Cas deep are connected and flowing. By which time the wall of cash will be flowing at us and any deal done at a much higher price. Also Royston will be drilled around the same time as the connections adding that result to the portfolio. Talk of low ball offers is just silly, Paul is not impatient, he will hold out for all the data to add value!

Paul has said previously that he didn't see spuds as a financially material events so didn't announce them, we will no doubt be told the date when it happened in the next news that comes along afterwards.

If Chinook does hit another very large gas holding structure then the biggest takeaway from that is the fact that TXP's understanding of the geology and seismic data is sound. 3 from 3 would be a great base and improves the chance of success at the other targets in this field. This could add as much value as the discovery itself.

The option prices in the table below are other options previously awarded.
A nice bonus if you are one of those awarded options at that price, especially if your current holding is under water, a nice way to recover your losses!

The facts are that the last major gas discovery onshore Trinidad was bought out very early on in the development of that field. My view is with the probable decline of oil demand over the next couple of decades and the high local demand for gas and a global increase in demand for gas then this discovery especially if TXP hit another good pool is going to be very sought after by the majors as insulation from declining oil profits. If another monster is found then I don't think the SP in a years time will be the talking point!

This was not a salary substitute issue of shares James, it was an employee exercising options. Buying them at a reduced price, probably to raise a few bob by selling as i am not aware of any options that were about to expire?

Maybe because the their MM's are a bit more honest than ours or their system doesn't allow trades to be put through the wrong side of the mid?
Lots of buys gone through as sells today, look on the google graph it separates them clearly. I got the impression they where trying to induce more selling?

There is no way PB will accept a low ball offer like that! The Carapal ridge field sold for over half the well head value of its 2P reserves and the offer came while the well was still on test.

Gamflin, I don't know how you would relate that gas volume to the SP as it depends on so many factors but 1tcf of gas at the point of sale at $3/mcf (1000cft) would be $3b!
