Fantastic article about the lithium price, and that famous Morgan Stanley report that caused so much hoo-hah now being seen to have indeed been wrong, as we all knew it was. Great when you see these things play out and they are shown to be the bunk we thought they were.

The article focuses on hard rock and though it doesn't mention EMH, it's all very much points in our favour!

An increased royalty is also a nice face-saving win for Babis to trumpet around. My guess is they pre-agree a rise in royalties for after the 2 year freeze is over.

As I understand it, a reserve fund that would be forfeited if they abandoned an open hole mine, and something to ensure a reasonable proportion of the wealth created stays in-country (i.e. a raised royalty!).

The latter is slightly complicated because much of the economic benefit that this project will bring to the CR will be downstream of the plant itself. That is harder to quantify.

In any case - reserve fund and a royalty grab is where we're heading. I've been saying the latter since the start of all this.

Despite seeing .55 on the ticker, this is once again a Bed and ISA or other negotiated transaction. I just dummy tested the real spread and got .586 to sell several million shares, and .6375 to buy.

Indeed - all the benefits of USA infrastructure, well services, political will etc but with prices closer to Brent than WTI. Best of both worlds! We were all a bit confused and taken aback by the Gaelic deal when they announced it, but it's proven to be a real company-maker and a very smart bit of business. The fruit it's about to bear from income will validate the bigger investors like M&G who have stakes here and encourage bigger, more risk-averse fish into the pond. The sells going through at 55 are some sort of adjustment, the real spread (tested in dummy trades) is .5785 to sell and .6247 to buy. They seem to be taking unlimited sell volumes which suggests the big seller/s has dried up and there may be a large order to fill somewhere. I can sell millions in one go for .5785.

Yep I've tested, the real spread is 58 bid to 63 ask. Looks like these 55s are some sort of delayed cancellation print, somebody did a whoopsie.

Intriguingly I can sell 2m in one lump at full ask, which is a very good sign indeed!

To be clear, they will not raise cash below the previous placing price, as they have stated time and time again including in an interview in the last few weeks (post Colter drill). There is cash left in the bank and income rising as the Californian projects come online. There is absolutely no point in or need for a cash raise.

Gutted. UOG certainly wrote it up better than RBD did. But at least there is a ton more on the RBD roster. The other companies are rather more exposed.
